Honestly think there was an agreement between Lotus USA and the dealer network that all communication would be through the dealer. Thus the email template... and some dealers communicating and others not. Highly dependent on what kind of sales person you have. IMHO a mistake.

Not possible... diamond cutting involves the wheel to rotate. The silver part is essentially the paint lathed/shaved off during rotation. Those dark areas are recessed, lower... Only possible way would be to shave the existing areas further to make the outer lip and spokes to be flush, all one...

My Porsche paint on my 2012 was definitely harder than any Porsche beyond that... so maybe 11 years ago... LOL.

Ten years ago the paint was different. It was harder. Paints now need to be eco friendly which results in softer paint.
