I liked how Matt hid behind the sales team prioritisation. As the MD of the company you might not set the direction strategically of Lotus but you manage the day/day achievement of the strategy and that includes managing the sales prioritisation. It’s poor that there’s no demo cars to test drive

In one respect I'm glad "others" are getting their cars first and are being the test beds for quality. I can imagine that if faults are found there's no spare parts to fix them and you end up in a worse situation then the person receiving their car weeks after you.

At least the boxes are cardboard which is sustainable rather than plastic :) I love the British mentality of just get on with it - my worry is how hand built the car is and how quality is dependent on how little beers/wines the guy/lady had the night before.

Specifically said Asian spec so i was assuming it would be China - perhaps they aren't customer cars but demos as China certainly seems to have the V6 models doing the rounds.

Just spoken to a work colleague who has family working on the production line and it's not good. There's less than 10 cars being produced a day - the cars that are being created are for the Chinese market or LHD market. The production line is halted sometimes daily for 2-3 hours as parts...

Ffs I was hoping for my car to be delivered in November in time for my bday late November. Giving that the factory shuts down in December delivering my car in Winter is pretty pointless. We’d be better off with delivery in March.
