Anyone fitted a Ghost or Pandora immobiliser?

I'm checking into the Ghost II system and fortunately for me, there's an Autowatch authorized installer in my city of just over 1 million people. They checked and told me they can do an Emira installation. Thanks Andy H for the helpful info about the "gearbox lock". I look forward to your advice...

    Battery Tender Question

Ditto to RoryBellows's advice. You're OK driving around w/o coverings, however I'll add that should you encounter moisture entry (due to a high powered car wash, raising the rear hatch with water on it, or any type of water leak in the trunk area), water contact or ++++ humidity could...

    Isotype Green in the Flesh

The reactions to your mention of the Miura caused me to look it up. I'd never heard of it before. Quite the revolutionary car when introduced in 1966 and considered by some to be the "first supercar". Nice styling...however I see a more recent 2024 Miura auction ending for US$4.9 million, so a...

    MY2025 less problematic?

My experience with my 2024 FE manual transmission V6, has been problem-free after less than 2,500km (about 1,500 miles). All I've done for maintenance, is the first DIY oil/filter change. I've taken the car apart, for door insulation/new tweeter install and the third cat delete...plus I'm now...

TPMS Inquiry: Anyone using multiple sets of wheels?

I've got 2 sets of tires/rims and had to buy TPMS sensors for the extra set. I couldn't do so locally, so bought an OEM set from Greg at GRP (Greg's Race Parts) and they work just fine (no calibration required)...

    Initial Results after adding Tweeters

Both door insulation and tweeter install completed. Easier to do second side with experience, as expected. For N. American vehicles, the passenger side wiring is the braided yellow/white and purple/green, as indicated by others, if you’re hooking up to OEM tweeters. For new info, the...

    Tariffs End US Emira shipments?

True. Investors who have money run away from uncertainty like a 100 metre sprinter, at the sound of the starter gun. Most others avoid any unnecessary spending, not knowing if their necessary expenses will increase and rob them of disposable income. All this sets the stage for a recession...

    Condensation inside the headlights.

Mine's never done that, even after a "power wash", so I'm not convinced it happens all the time. Anyway, it looks to be a "non-issue" if the condensation disappears once the headlamps are in use.

    Horrible service North Jersey

I don't get a "loaner vehicle" from my Lotus dealer. This isn't something covered by warranty, unlike other manufacturers, so if it happens, it's only because of the dealership and you'd be ++ lucky to get that thrown in. But that's got nothing to do with the other issues identified by the OP...

    DIY Emira Maintenance

GRP (Greg's Race Parts) sells a "Powerflex Wheel Install Guide Pin" for the Emira, which is a pin/guide making it easier to locate and line up the lugs, when changing tires (read the GRP description on the link below)...

Emira 600 Clubsport Edition - JUBU gives the Lotus Emira supercar vibes!

I too am an "Emira fanboy" and love its looks. That said, if the Emira came in a cabriolet, I'd see it as having a better chance in the "looks department" compared to the Portofino, but I'm admittedly a HUGE convertible sport car fan. Something about the top-down wind whistling by and smelling...

Emira 600 Clubsport Edition - JUBU gives the Lotus Emira supercar vibes!

For the 600 ClubSport (600 HP; 7,400 red line), at 199,000 Euros (for the "base model" w/o any other options), that's over $358,000.00 Canadian, once you factor in taxes and where I am in Canada, attracts the lowest taxes. It would cost $400,000+ other places in Canada. Those prices also exclude...

    Windshield crack

I've not experienced your issue and hopefully someone that has, will chime in to answer your question. I'm assuming your dealer was no help (wouldn't agree it could be a warranty fix). If you get no other answers, my one suggestion is to take your car to a reputable "vehicle windshield...

Exotic Car Owner's Code of Conduct

Almost true. I usually get comments from men, however last Fall when driving from my neighbourhood downtown to work, a woman in a BMW Z4 pulled up beside me and kept staring, repeatedly looking up and down the length of my Emira. We locked eyes and she smiled, before the light changed and we...

Where do you put your keys

Does it install exactly like the photos? I'm assuming the top slides into the "gap" between the dash moulding...and the bottom has to be attached by double-side tape, to keep it snug and prevent it from flopping around? Is there room for your right knee? If you're using it, can you provide a...

Emira - Child/Baby seats rear facing. Does anyone have any that work well or recommendations?

I'm not with my Emira but found an online copy of the manual/"main handbook" here (Canadian version; everyone should check their own country's manual): https://www.lotuscars.com/en-CA/support/emira-handbook Within that, look at pages 34 - 37; and 40 to 43. This tells you a child seat (with...

Emira - Child/Baby seats rear facing. Does anyone have any that work well or recommendations?

Back in the day when I had young children...I was warned NOT to put their child seat in the front of a vehicle, due to the risk of injury when the front passenger airbag exploded open from a collision. You may be able to de-activate that airbag (?). See what your country says but this is from...

    Diamond Cut - Curbed Wheel

A few years back, I had an expensive gun metal rim with a scrape mark and a chunk taken out of it, from a damaged Costco curb that was sticking out with a sharp edge. Changing Seat Belt Colors

For the OP: if you have any problem with the seatbelts, after you've replaced them with an aftermarket set (such as throwing a code, related to the seatbelts), I expect Lotus will void any warranty. I've checked into how to do replacements: 1. Locally for me, NO ONE was interested in doing...

Ontario Personalized Plate Denial - "Emira" is considered offensive by Service Ontario

No problem getting “EMIRA” in Alberta, Canada. I tried but someone had it already. I then tried “EMIRA1” but it was taken; I later learned by my dealer when test driving a car with that plate on it. They applied for “EMIRA” as soon as the car was announced and couldn’t believe it was gone. I’m...

    Puddle lights in door

Knowing the set-up of the "puddle light" (the one end longer, with the wiring harness plugged in to it), use a thin pry tool around the edges to slowly work the OEM light down, then ease it forward with the harness end at the rear and initially, still out of site. Once you've got it out enough...

    Puddle lights in door
