    New Lotus Emeya

I assume you mean Emeya? Or do you have a scoop on the naming of Type 134 or 135? https://www.lotuscars.com/en-GB/emeya

    New Lotus company

The timing of the emails coincides with first UK Eletre deliveries and the announcement of Emeya. So moving the sales, distribution, and customer care aspects from Lotus Cars to another Chinese-owned UK entity fits with Chinese-built EVs being added to the portfolio of cars on UK roads.

    New Lotus company

So the transfer takes place with effect from 1 Jan 2023 and they are telling you 8 months later? Is that why service has been patchy since the start of the year - people have been contacting the wrong company? ;)

I Drive The Lotus Eletre For The First Time! A Charging Monster w/ Fantastic Interior & Performance

There’s that joke about preferring a meal cooked by an Italian and organised by a German, but not a meal cooked by a German and organised by an Italian :) Seems a similar situation here. The main Lotus UK input on Eletre is exterior and interior styling (continuing the Evija and Emira design...

I’ve had enough, I’m selling it

The Evora was designed and built before Lotus was owned by Geely, with parts sourced from wherever Lotus used at the time. Now Geely has directed them where to source parts and set them a target to build a car that looks a lot like an Evora in terms of bill of materials but costs 10-15k less...

I’ve had enough, I’m selling it

It’s only the engine and gearbox from the Evora. Literally everything else is new. All the mechanical components, sensors, wiring looms, electronics and the control software.

    Throwing codes

I don’t think we can draw too many conclusions about how representative the forum is. I’ve met probably 15-20 Emira owners at car events who aren’t on here and roughly 75% of them have had no major problems with their cars. You always getting reporting bias on forums, because the people who...

    V6 v i4 - 3 year servicing cost.

OP is referring to the option offered at UK checkout, which is a service plan covering the first 3 years in total.

    Factory Tour - 2024

I’d expect them to have tours in 2024 and for dates to be published Oct/Nov. Lotus Driving Academy doesn’t operate over the winter, so first 2024 dates are likely to be late March or early April. Similar timeframe for dates being published. If you want to do Classic Team Lotus (heritage...

    V6 v i4 - 3 year servicing cost.

Those are the current servicing costs for both models. Evora GT410 list price was higher than Emira V6.

    V6 v i4 - 3 year servicing cost.

It would be interesting to see what the AMG service costs are on the A45/A45S for comparison. It surprised me when Lotus announced the V6 Emira service costs, as they are up significantly on the Evora GT410, which is essentially the same drivetrain and hence the same oil, plugs, filters etc...

    Lotus Emira Future Versions Thread

I think it's much as GetawayDriving says. There won't be a Series 2 Emira with a facelift and updated stuff, like there was with Evora, Exige and Elise. Emira is very much the bridge from old ICE Lotus to new EV Lotus. They will probably do some power upgrades for an S/GT version in another...

Emiras advertised for sale on other sites

The market for sports cars in the UK is turning down, it’s not just Emiras. Cost of finance has increased significantly since January and some people are feeling that in their monthly mortgage costs too.

    Hello from sunny SoCal!

Welcome to the forum and the watch party for those waiting for their Emira! By the time you get yours I'd expect a lot of the initial issues to have been resolved. You're well-served with good Lotus dealers in SoCal too, with Galpin and Lotus of OC. What's been your car history and what was...

    Race to the first i4

This is correct. They can build 20 different variants in a day if they want to, each car down the line to a different spec to the one before. There are some small benefits to batching, for example a run of LHD i4s. But it’s not a constraint.

    Chinese vs European i4 HP?

We will need to rely on our Chinese forum members to spot the reviews of the i4 400hp version in the Chinese auto press. There was a large group of Geely VIPs and Chinese media at Goodwood this year, including the journalists taking most of the i4 passenger slots on the runs up the hill (one...

📓 Journals Hethel to the South of France!

Great to read you found an enjoyable route through a forum recommendation. If you get the chance, do start your own journal with experiences and pictures from the rest of your trip. It might inspire someone else to try a new road.

    Factory tour - 16 Aug 2023

It’s about 200 miles and a 3h30 drive from Hethel to Thruxton, depending on traffic. Hethel is north east of London and Thruxton is south west, so you’ve got to factor in the M25 London orbital motorway, which can be running fine but is often clogged.

    Chinese vs European i4 HP?

My info is the ECU is from AMG and is encrypted, with the programming done by AMG. They have had staff on site at Hethel. But we know other aftermarket tuners have been able to crack and tune the M139 in other applications. Litchfield have got an early i4 on order, so they must reckon they...

    Hi from Surrey

Ah, there must be another John with a Dark Verdant car locally. We have a Lotus owners breakfast meet there every third Sunday of the month. Hope to see you sometime. https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/newlands-corner-sunday-breakfast-meet-guildford-surrey-uk-sunday-20th-august.3533/

📓 Journals Great app for finding twisty roads nearby

I use it for route planning and have found it very useful. It’s been mentioned a couple of times in the Ode to Roads and Great Roads in the UK threads. Curvature is also a useful application for finding twisty roads. Feedback from other forum members suggests Calimoto is good in Europe but...

    An ode to roads.

Great idea. I'd like to see photos, videos, route map and maybe a route-book style turn by turn guide, downloadable navigation file (GPX/ITN), some categories you can search/filter on (twistiness, tarmac quality, scenery), maybe some info on local places along the route for visiting, food and...

    Favorite driving roads in Britain?

Detectors are legal, jammers are illegal. Several of the navigation apps also mark the fixed camera locations and social apps like Waze usually have mobile detectors reported by users. The advantage of going to the Isle of Man is there are no speed limits outside the villages and a few...

    Buyer’s Remorse, Maybe?

Not dumb, that’s a great spec. Almost identical to mine, except my interior is leather. I assume it’s an auto, otherwise you wouldn’t have the option for the coloured TDC marker. Not paying ADM on a V6 FE 1.0 is smart.

Another price increase (or did I just miss the news?)

Prices increased in mid August in most countries, the second increase since launch.

Reserve your Emira with North America's most honest, fair, & communicative Lotus dealer!

I was told by Lotus in July that Base details were unlikely to be released until Q4, possibly Q1. I wonder if @GatorMotorsport have more info on this? If V6 FE delivery timelines are shortening, you’d think that might mean Base start is getting earlier.
