Did you double check that the park distance sensors are active on your infotainment screen?
One option is the quick panel for parking assist.
The other option is, while in reverse when the reverse camera screen is displayed, ensure the P))) icon is checked.
My next pad will likely be Ferodo DS 1.11. If it's still funky, then I'm just going to call it a quirk of the braking system setup. After my track day, the EBC blues make noise and the rubbing sounds starts in the rear almost immediately as I dip into the brake pedal, then followed by the fronts...
I think the jostling is essentially what we've been discussing - just using somewhat different words. I've met two other i4 owners in person who have brought this up (without me prompting). Some claim it's specifically in second gear at some RPM and only in Touring mode...but for me it can...
Rough shifts - as you mentioned in your last sentence - is abnormal...haven't read reports of that and have not experienced it. See if you can document it and eventually if enough things pile up, get it to your dealer. You should be able to use Lotus to tow your car to the dealer if you don't...
Thanks for sharing your feedback. Now I'm wondering if it's something else causing the inconsistent pedal travel/pressure. RP1, on paper, is a decent step up from the Blues that I wouldn't expect it to also vary. Less initial bite and being progressive is the type of pad I like, and on certain...
I survived Sonoma Raceway in the Emira.
My longer thoughts are in the description of the video, didn't want to spam here.
Had a few notable 'moments'.
Also the incorrect rear pads that EBC is cool with being incorrect, are building their lip in the rears - as expected. They don't look...
I did contact EBC USA with measurements and photos. They were responsive with their own validation of my measurements and what I received. I also submitted the pictures of two other Emira owners with the similar issue. A vendor commented, separately, that this has been the case on the Evora but...
This is literally THE WORST and such a pain. The whole dropdown to adjust the different volumes in the infotainment, including the 'master' volume is bonkers. Certainly it's their implementation of CarPlay that's the issue. As others have shared, it does not function this way in other cars...and...
Thanks. Passenger front makes sense - that's what gets roasted at Laguna. I've experienced a range of weights at Laguna - from a 2,800 lb 86 (both generations), to a 3,500lb Supra, and now the heaviest combo G87 M2 (3,900 lbs). I suspect I'll have a bit of an opposite reaction haha.
Laguna is...
I wish I could move the balance rearwards. Subjectively I also observe that different areas of the cabin seem to fill with audio in a different way as the volume is changed.
On paper, I don't have hearing loss but I do have tinnitus so my experience of audio is a bit different..a little afraid...
So I agree with Ray that it's especially worse/prone to doing this when cold but since I've past break-in, I've just not driven it as gently...though I suspect there will be more times in the future where I'll drive more calmly (after the thrill of being able to wind it out dies down) lol...
Thank you. A different Emira owner confirmed the EBC pad is sitting off the inner radius of the rotor face. Separately another Emira owner with EBC red pads showed that there is a lip forming on the inner radius portion of the pad (which is sitting off of the rotor face). Someone else mentioned...
I started to install a set of EBC Blue pads (for light track use) and planned to order some EBC Reds for street. The front pads fit perfectly, but the rear pads don't fully sit on the brake rotor. After talking with EBC and taking measurements, they still believe it is the right pad, but I'm...
How's 0w20 holding up on track? Has anyone experienced oil burning or sent off their oil for analysis after 1 or more events?
Related, has anyone gone up in viscosity, what did you move to and how's it been?
If you believe this chart, then Blue NDX is the step above our OEM pads. Normal Blues are an equivalent to OEM pads. Yellows would be a step below.
I will be trying the Blue NDX pads but I won't be swapping between pads during the same track day...at least I hope I don't have to due to...
It'll depend on a lot of factors discussed, including, which heat exchanger/radiator in front of the front tires has more heat. On the V6 Manual, there's only one radiator but the i4 has 2 (one on each side).
