Uh… like a direct replacement? Not a chance. A lot of design/development goes into something like that.Does anyone know if you can use the Evija door hinges for the Emira?
That was the answer I was looking for ...No, the Emira doors are frameless, these are not.
I like the butterfly look, not necessarily the scissor look. There are aftermarket systems that work with frameless doors. That would be a lot cheaper than trying to draw from the Evija parts bin anyways. They all have to open outward first for clearance / latch function, which kind of defeats the point.
Oh im really interested if you do thisI've actually been thinking of being the guinea pig for designing a set of hinges from Vertical Doors. They have a set for the Evora already.
My only hesitation is that I'm worried about the dreaded paint bubbling issue happening to my doors after I do the mod, which would undoubtedly complicate the warranty process.
Anyone got a video of these modded doors opening? It looks nice when its open but these after markets had verg poor operations, does not open like a real scissor door. You open it like a normal door outwards and once open you lift it up.. looks very cheap… it should be in one flow automatic out and going up![]()
My McLaren 570 and 720 (both spiders) requires you to push the door out and then up in exactly the same way as this kit does.It looks nice when its open but these after markets had verg poor operations, does not open like a real scissor door.
