WIth a very unsteady hand, I spent some time this morning painting the polished emblem on the SC cover to match some of the other yellow accents I've added. I think this will be the last bit of yellow -- I think it adds balance to the back since there's no yellow nearby.

I'm really really particular about things like this. I don't like when things match too much. If you can look good without matching, to me that's the ultimate way to make a statement. I definitely agree with keeping the V6 unpainted. I think you did a real decent job with the paint. I would have opted for a darker shade of yellow but I understand you were trying to match things. Can't say I'm a fan of the side skirt lines. It's not terrible by any means, but I think its unnecessary. Just giving my honest opinion.

I do like the idea of painting the LOTUS... think I'll go with a dark shade of gold at some point on mine.

That being said... stock does look a little plain.. so I understand what you're trying to do.

You know what.. it looks better than stock. So, can't say you did a bad thing. Overall, I think you improved the look.

I think it looks great awesome job!

The clear livened up the color just a bit, I'd recommend adding a few coats for appearance and longevity.

I wonder if the craft paint will hold up to the heat of the SC. Any thoughts on that?

I agree that it adds balance. Not over done, but well done! Chris

I painted mine. I used brake caliper paint as I was concerned about the heat. I didn't paint the bars around the Lotus logo as I thought it would be too much yellow, I think I was wrong. The yellow Lotus with bars looks great

Hey thanks! --- I was in the same position -- I did the long bars first (with vinyl tape!), ultimately painted the long bars, then painted the small bars, then painted the letters -- I kept procrastinating what I wanted. You can surely go back and add some or all - personal preference is what makes it a win no matter what.
