Hi all! 2,000 miles in and I think the car is finally broken in with it's first CEL! (long post but I figure some details might matter)
I picked up my car in February 2025 and it's had a few known issues: intermittent turn signal hyper flash, e-brake no longer automatically releasing, telematics errors etc. All things I personally I have overlooked/ignored.

Recently I opened the car door and as the dash booted up the CEL was displaying. I knew something was up. Started the car and sure enough the CEL stayed on. P2541.

Drove to breakfast, thinking a drive and power cycle would clear it but no. Since I read about software and electrical gremlins all the time I decided to clear the CEL, but there's still a permanent and pending code. Later in the day, the CEL re-appared upon opening the door and stayed lit after starting the car. The car never sounded or ran strangely in any way.

The only thing that stood out to me in the freeze Frame data is the vehicle speed at 158.45 mph - I wish? but also not possible.

I noticed on FB someone posted at 2,000 miles their car popped up a message for Engine System Service urgent...sure enough that came up for me as well during the day and went away with a restart.

You'll note no CEL and the CEL hasn't come back on since clearing.
Once I got home from the day I checked again and the permanent code is still there. I pulled the battery for an hour and it's still there (no CEL).

So I think I'll just drive the car and see if the CEL comes back again.
Anyone else see this on their car?

What obd2 scanner are you using? Looks like it gives is useful data as to parameters when CEL was triggered. Thanks in advance.

Both my OBDii readers work with the Emira. Veepeak and OBDLink MX+. OBD Fusion and OBDLink apps respectively. Not all apps work with each scanner due to different protocols.

They'll also link out to some potentially helpful information:

I know it's a pain, but this one might warrant a dealer visit. Keep us posted!
