It looks like Lotus is pushing these limited editions as much as possibile. They had the 4 models dedicated to historic lotus F1 cars (that have some stickers on and some poor non-matching paint jobs) for 8k more than the FE. My dealer told me about this new Clark edition when i got my FE, (and it seems they at least put some effort in doing something fancy with the interiors) but honestly, do you guys think these are worth the extra money? I don’t. I can see the bespoke program working ok if done the right way, but some performance options are so much needed imho.

I think its all pretty harmless. They aren’t pricing them at big mark ups as far as I can tell. Just gives people some extra flavors to choose from. Agree they will need to add performance hardware if they want to move the Emira into a difference price bracket though. A little power bump, light weight seats and some ceramic brakes would get me excited.

Clark edition costs 20-25k more then loaded base in switzerland. So there‘s that…

Well if thats indicative of pricing everywhere I stand corrected. Hadn’t seen a price on one here yet. I picked up one of the isotope cars. $3k more than the well optioned base I was considering at the time and thought the color suited the car well personally. Would not have sprung for the clark edition at those levels.

But if they came out with a 430hp, ceramic brake, LW seats etc. track special variant I would pay up another 25-30 for that.

Yes, give the Emira some good hw performance boost and that would be fine - I still think Lotus should add hw upgrades in its pricing list btw. At that time, the dealer still had no official pricing for the Clark edition but was guessing around 150k, which sounds insane to me. They wouldn’t probably ever sell it since they had 1 available and tought the owner would keep it for his private garage. Well 🤷🏻‍♂️
