I think the bass have gotten a bit tighter/punchier and not as muddy/mushy. Not much but you can feel the difference. They probably redid the EQ curve and maybe even changed some of the crossover points between tre/mid and bass.

Friend wants the i4 when the lease is up so I told my sales guy I would want another i4 in 2028 if they're to stop production before then, let me order one from the last production one. Will keep both for life.

No idea as it's a bit cold to drive with the windows down.

Just picked mine up and the audio update was also done. Had a 30 minutes drive home and I would say the improvement are very noticeable. I have always said that the KEF system sounds better than the stock in the 718 but not as good as the B&O in my RS5. It's now very close, the high mid/ low...

The upcoming DCT remap did mention smoother shift so I hope that would be it.

I'm on the west coast so my car did not arrive till endo Jan and I didn't pick it up till early Feb but the update was released before the end of 2024 so you should have it if you don't have the ~1/2 second delay from between when you pull the paddle to the actual gear change.

The one you have was developed in the endo f 2024. This one was developed for the 2026 so none of the current i4 have it.

Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT): Recalibrated for faster, smoother shifts and better driver interaction (on the 4-cylinder). This is new to the 2026 model. all current US i4 already have the latest update from early 2025 since delivery did not start till Feb 2025.

Can you post your service record listing the audip update, My i4 is at the dealer right now getting the latest software updates and I want o make sure that one is done.

Took my i4 in for a software update today and I dropped by the sales office to get the latest gossip. 2026 i4 will start arriving in a few weeks and the DCT remap will be available for existing owner once those have gone through PDI. Otherwise no news on new engine options and probably won't be...

Traffic, Usually drive the i4 during daytime on weekdays and the stick in the evening and weekends.

Finally have both at home, usually one is with my other cars in the office warehouse while I have the RS5 at home.

I think the sub signal is still there but they may have lower the signal strength so the pipe in noise won't overwhelm the bass. I went from my normal +2 on the V6 to +4 and it's close.

OK, I switched from the i4 back to the V6 today (1st time since having the wire cut). The sub on the i4 are just gone by comparison with the same track at the same audio setting, you can tell even by the air compression at higher volume. Will open the panel up and check and make sure everything...
