For my 2 warranty claims on my 2nd Emira it was my dealer, Rybrook Bristol, who sorted a courtesy car. Whether they did this via customer care, I don’t know, but thankfully I just dealt with Rybrook who have been excellent.
Last year my premium increased by £100+ to £516 and this years renewal came through at £416, so was reasonably happy with that.
Thought I would spend a few mins on a comparison website and the quotes came back starting from £250 😳 So I rang Adrian Flux about my renewal, told them I wasn’t happy...
My renewal came through today at £416 with Adrian Flux, down form £516 last year and pretty much matches my first year premium. That for 6k miles, garaged and full ncb. I will still shop around a little though.
I had this but mine was caused because dealer had to take the panel off to sort the seat electrics. The panel never stayed fitted for long after that so they replaced it with a new one, which sorted it.
If I was buying now, I would look for a lightly used one at about £25k less than new and maybe slightly compromise on your ideal spec, some of which you maybe able to change later. Jon Seal is selling a lovely Nimbus car at £61k with less than 2k miles on. I’ve got 7k miles on mine and love it...
The screen was delayed a little but arrived last week and I had it fitted today. Very happy the the fitting team at NW Bristol, totally oem look and spotless.
I’ve done 7k miles in mine now and no ppf. The worst area of stone chips I have is drivers side rear wing area which seems to catch stones from oncoming vehicles on b roads an also from the front wheels.
Mine is Nimbus, so they don’t show up too much but on Magma, Verdant etc you would see it a...
would a screen repair sort it? I had a sizeable chip on my Evora and used a diy repair kit and it’s virtually invisible now.
My Emira is booked in tomorrow at NW who say they have sourced a screen from Lotus but they are due to confirm timings etc to me today. I’ll report back what happens…..
It’s a pretty obvious mis match there, so needs changing. I can’t think how the manufacturer thought that the mis alignment of the weave was ever going to be acceptable.
Thanks for this Jon. This is exactly what happened to my first Emira which went back to the factory to be taken apart and fixed. They had the car for 2.5 months before I lost patience and was going to reject it. At the 11th hour they replaced it with same spec later build car last Sept. Now 7k...
As per title, car insured via Adrian Flux, through LV broker division and National Windscreens is their glass replacement company. They are talking about 3rd party glass, not Lotus supplied, and said they will fit it at their Bristol depot. I would prefer it to be done with the assistance at...
I have just had this happen also, 6k miles. Was fine two weeks ago but not working now, with or without passenger. Speed limiter works fine. Car booked into Rybrook Bristol on the 24th so will update thread after that.
