Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

Do you drive in the nude? 😁 in that circumstance your dangly bits may get more freedom than required. If so, we are more than happy to make you seats without the crotch hole. You will be stunned how much more comfortable they are than jiggling around on top of the foam standard seats. I...

Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

Greg at GRP told me he is close to having a US solution. One set is for two seats.

Thank you for you interest. You will fit the standard B10 well. I also fit the standard seat but decided on the XL in my Emira, as it is mostly a road car. It helps when wearing jackets and if anyone over a 36 inch waist must drive the car. Smaller drivers in the XL still works due to the...

    Paint blistering issue update

PPF will not make any difference. If they compression mould the composite leaving air in there, the panels are cured inside the tool and trap the air under pressure. It stands to reason that they will find their way out over time. This is why repair is pointless, as it is very likely that there...

    Planted seat brackets

These are copied from my B8/B9 shape where the outer headrest shape has been altered. Even the brackets are copied from our TB1 brackets. There is no reason why the side brackets could not be fitted to the Planted base but why would you add 2.3 kg each seat when you could just use our Emira...

What things annoy you on Emira?

I had that problem, it would never connect unless I turned Bluetooth off and on again and I was blaming the car. It turned out to be my iPhone 15 and when I upgraded it it started to connect OK. Not perfect but much better.

What things annoy you on Emira?

I have the solution for that. At least 100 mm lower. I have had a courtesy car this last couple of days so I am back on the OEM seats and not only do you sit too high but the bouncing up and down on the soft cushion is horrendous.

Is this a US spec car? I believe they still have issues but the European cars seem sorted and I certainly do not have any lights up in my car.

    Adjustable track seats

Do you need angle adjustment then? I ask as with my seats I have never once had to change my seat angle. Once the angle is set up that's it, you can drive comfortably for hours, so long as you have the panel set. You would find the lower back is way better supported with the one piece shell.

The best person to ask is Greg at GRP. We don't have a dealer in Florida but he may have had an Emira customer in that area.

    Lightweight seats

Ah! well if they came from the Exige it is unlikely they are the B10 XL seats. It could have been a B5, B8-43, or a B6-43 XL. You are certainly able to use the standard size of our B6 or B10 seats, which would nip you in the top if you were in one of the above. By the sound of your requirements...

    Has anyone installed Recaro Sportsters?

I did ask Mr Windle if we could do the GT seats ages ago. I got a maybe but no further.

    Has anyone installed Recaro Sportsters?

The rails on the OEM seats are integrated into the seat frame so you will struggle to make the seat lower by any alteration of the frame.

    Lightweight seats

Oh sorry, I misunderstood. I’ve never had anyone complain of rubbing there before. Are you built like Arnold Schwarzenegger? That area is quite important for support but if you are tight there and loose at the bottom it could be overloaded with a normal three point. Did the seat that you tried...

    Lightweight seats

Do you mean you are worried about the OEM seat belt rubbing on the hard shell? My car has done 18,000 miles and there is no sign of rubbing at all. The edge where the belt sits is smooth and unlike in the OEM seats you do not wobble from side to side so they will not wear when they don’t move...
