I could notice a big difference between the sample and the yellow (I think maybe liquid yellow?) Exige that was in Bell & Colvill. Perhaps its also a different shade, but if the yellow was like the one on the Exige I would for it without thinking, as it is the yellow is not an option for me...
LSD are not essential, most Porsche 911s don't have one unless they are the higher models in the range. I believe many Mclarens don't have them either.
My own 911 (997 Carrera S) doesn't have one. I don't miss it much on the road, depending on the setup it can also help stop understeer...
Maybe for some later V6 FE too then.......
It would be great to know, I'd definitely defer a few months to get a wider choice. Would quite like a black with gold fleck, or very bright options like orange or green, or even a metallic yellow!
I would have gone yellow if it was a metallic. In the UK I think non metallics can look a bit flat in most natural light. I may still eventually go yellow but definitely would have preferred a metallic yellow such as was available in the final edition Exige they had in Bell & Colvill.

It will be interesting to see if that's accurate. If it plays out like this I'll be switching from V6 to i4 as I really only want V6 for the manual gearbox. I suspect they will be a similar speed on the road (maybe the i4 even being faster).

I'm thinking along similar lines. The base edition looks quite well specified - its not like getting a base spec from some other brands where you need to option in the steering wheel and the air inside the cabin... I'm ok without nearly everything in the options packs.

Agree about the ipad and the dials - would much prefer a more integrated approach for the iPad and I think the screen will date badly. I think the ipad is unfortunately something that needs to be expected in this generation of cars - I see a few solutions are starting to creep in but it does...

Event was well organised, decent amount of people from Lotus and B&C to support. Presentation etc was not too long and generally well done apart from as mentioned before reading from a piece of paper...
Does anyone know what it meant by the 'sports suspension' in the Lotus Drivers Pack? I'm assuming it means the choice of the touring or the sport setup but how is it different to what's offered in the 'base edition'.
