New London is/was my dealer. I didn’t get this message from them, nor anything other than “let’s just wait and see.” Well, as mentioned I’m done waiting, so I pulled the plug and am going to see what’s available here and now, not what might exist in some future fantasyland.

My dealer advises my car was “in production” from the instant I placed the order, even tho he cannot/will confirm I have a VIN or that I have an actually chassis on the production line, and thus he is refusing to refund the deposit.

Another dealer confirmed this. Very sad. I’m going to ask for my deposit back and look for one already stateside.

A sales manager stateside just advised that Lotus has stopped shipping to US and won’t resume for “several months at best.” Evidently at a recent dealer meeting they were advised that no more MY25s are coming to the US.

Love British cars (even tho the Emira looks more Italian than Brit) and having owned several of the main marques I have to say trouble goes with ownership. I used to have a bumper sticker on my Mk II that read “The parts falling off this car are of the finest British manufacture."
