Toyota just unveiled an all new GT with a twin turbo V8 and a transaxle. With the assumption that this V8 will be Euro compliant, perhaps this engine, in an NA configuration, could be the V8 that Lotus is looking for?
I never noticed my belt being improperly aligned, thought it’s hidden under a cover, so no surprise. However, I was accelerating hard onto the highway when the belt came off (accompanied by a horrible noise). The loose belt tore off my oil pressure sensor, and without a belt I lost power...
My opinion is that the stock Lotus wheel alignments are part of the reason for its less than stellar reviews. A quick alignment fix to add a bit of front toe-in would likely result in a more “conventional “ feel for the motor journalists.

Problem solved! Took it in to my local dealer, the alignment had been WAY off factory spec. Now that it’s aligned, it’s like a different car! The only problem that I have is that they set front camber to around .45 degrees negative per side, rather than .8 degrees negative. I hope I don’t get...
