I thought mine worked, regardless of the ambient light conditions. I didn't focus on that so I can't say 100%. If it's bright outside, you'd have trouble seeing it on the ground. There's no "polarity issues" with the Emira: the new puddle lights, like the OEM, work the same way on either side...

Several Forum members (including myself) have upgraded the KEF audio system. I suspect the same upgrades would work to the base audio system, although another of your postings on this thread mentions having a tweeter in each of the A-pillar's, which is something the KEF system doesn't have...
