Exhaust gasket - 3rd cat delete

I'd say you'd need a new one almost ALL the time, judging my what I saw when I took my exhaust apart to do the 3rd cat delete. The OEM gasket was largely destroyed upon removal. Doing a bit of detective work with the Forum, GRP sells the aftermarket Fel-Pro 61473 ring gasket, which is the same...

    Emira Full Handbook

For anyone looking for a shop manual, there's a "slightly used" one for sale from a US member: https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/fs-lots-of-accessories.6669/#post-180881 I didn't think you'd mind me mentioning this Marty since I know you're not making a profit from them and it's one from you...

EVO: BMW M2 v Porsche Boxster GTS v Lotus Emira v Alpine A110 v Ford Mustang

IMO the Emira steering, if we focus on function and not looks, is its #1 best feature. I had a love-affair a long time ago with a 2005 BMW M3 cabriolet...which handled great on the track due to its 50/50 balance...followed by a love-affair with a 2020 then ++ loaded 2023 C8 Corvette Stingray...

    Puddle lights in door

I thought mine worked, regardless of the ambient light conditions. I didn't focus on that so I can't say 100%. If it's bright outside, you'd have trouble seeing it on the ground. There's no "polarity issues" with the Emira: the new puddle lights, like the OEM, work the same way on either side...

    Paint/panel problems....never ending problem?

I'll chime in and point out that 1 year and one month after purchase, with 10,000 km on the odometer and daily driving it (rain or shine; except the winter months with snow on the ground), I've had zero paint issues, nor any other problems with my Emira V6M. I just signed up for my third track...

    Puddle lights in door

You don't have to remove the panel, to replace the OEM puddle lights, as indicated above in this thread. First try disconnecting then re-connecting the new puddle light, to ensure it's connected properly. Then try to activate it several times: close both doors, then open each to see if the...

How did you get/choose your forum name?

I'm soon to finally retire from this far too busy 40+ year job...however years ago when I needed an "R&R and stress relief outlet", I got immersed in some hobbies, much to the dismay of my spouse (then children) who weren't seeing enough of me on the home front. But IMO it was that or crack...

    Hello from Louisiana

Another proud Emira owner; you can tell by the pics. Get ready for lots of attention from admirers. You're at the right spot on the Web: this Forum is chock full of helpful advice. Congrats!

    Base Audio (Non-KEF) Upgrades

Several Forum members (including myself) have upgraded the KEF audio system. I suspect the same upgrades would work to the base audio system, although another of your postings on this thread mentions having a tweeter in each of the A-pillar's, which is something the KEF system doesn't have...

    Recommendation Windshield Protection

I posted this elsewhere but it's more appropriately posted on this thread. My detailer installed "Ultafit Evo" for my Emira's protective windshield film, saying it was amongst the best out there right now. I was used to paying ~Can.$200 for windshield protective film on my other sport cars, but...

What car is more beautiful than an Emira?

Oddly enough, for many years, this was THE car that I lusted after, given its simple lines/"sexy curves". Then one day to my shock (some 40 years ago, when I had no money), I was walking in my apartment parkade and saw one (but with a red exterior; my preferred sport car color) parked in a...

    Should I

I did my first oil change, before the 1,400 miles mentioned by the OP. I always do with any new vehicle and moreso any that are higher performance or that I plan to keep long-term, with the engine being the most important and expensive component of any vehicle and relative to its...

What car is more beautiful than an Emira?

I'm adding to my post above, although I expect I could go on and on and on... Back in the day, I fell in love with a BMW Z8 Roadster and paid many visits to my local dealer, just to look at it. Luciddaydream mentioned above that the rear end of the Emira could be improved. I'm a huge "rear end...
