I didn't know about that. My car has had one service (2nd due in a couple months). At the last service they didn't tell me they had completed any service bulletins, and there was nothing in the paperwork.
I did ask about getting the software updates completed, but they said they were unable to...
Has anyone in the UK been proactively contacted by Lotus to have any of the factory updates fitted to their car?
For example the new side intake grilles, the water proofing over the electrics, or even software updates?
It seems this is happening in other regions. But in the UK they're waiting...
Lotus aren't exactly known for being quick and efficient in these matters. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later, but I would make backup plans to be without the car until next year some time. At least it happened at the end of the trip and not the beginning.
The original planned factory output of 5000 Emiras a year looks like a pipe dream now.
But 2025 has been a transitional year. In the UK they've still been selling FE stock from storage that were built in 2022/2023. They seem to have finally gone and we'll get the newer SE cars delivered next...
The rumour of the V6 being discontinued has been around since day 1. We're now 3 years in and it's still here available to order on the configurator. Long may it remain.

I think these cars are pretty robust from a mechanical perspective. The Toyota engine and drivetrain will probably out live the car. It's all the Lotus 'bits' that connect everything together that gives us grief.
If you have the black pack be super gentle with the black roof. Very easy to put light scratches/swirl marks on there that will look terrible in sunlight.
It was the Porsche that shat it's pants from being launched. The Emira survived some brutal launches and gear changes just fine. The electronics might be fragile, but the hardware is solid!
The Supra was fast for 320bhp? Maybe remapped? Or just an auto gearbox making all the difference. Really...
The first morning frosts and risk of snow start next week in the UK.
Typically in the past I've put nice cars away for the Winter. When I inevitably do sell them (I naively believe at the time every new car I buy is a 'keeper') I always regret not having used them more.
So starting this week...
It doesn't matter how you skin this, it's not good news. This was a factory that was designed to build 4800 cars a year.
It seems nobody (well 3 owners so far) are willing to pay the current price for a new car.
Unless things drastically change, I suspect the majority of Emiras that will ever...
