    USA/Canada Delivery Thread

I TOTALLY agree Lotus needs more dealers across the US, and not just in Florida. If I were them, I would work on a partnership with an existing dealer group. Perhaps partnership with Volvo??

    USA/Canada Delivery Thread

According to my US dealer, they are now ordering/configuring cars for March 2024 build and June 2024 delivery. August 2023 orders are supposed to be completed in January 2024 with March 2024 US delivery. One positive piece of news I learned today is Lotus is building a new dealership in...

Thoughts on the 2023 Nissan Z

The Gran Turismo movie was OUTSTANDING! Makes me think about getting another Nissan. I've yet to see a new Z in the wild (just inside a dealer's show room). With the Emira price now pushing $100k, the Nissan may become more of a bargain alternative (especially if you can get lucky enough...

    USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Interesting...this is one of the reasons why I may just end up just keeping my C8 HTC due to relatively low costs of ownership and a much closer dealership if/when service is needed. I also fear missing the convertible aspect of the C8. BUT, the Emira has the much loved manual transmission...

Now that reviews are out is anyone having 2nd thoughts about Emira ?

At the beginning of the year, I remember seeing a Doug DeMuro preview of 2023 cars he's most/least wanting to review. I was a bit shocked when he put the Emira in the 'least wanting to review' camp because he said there is no way it can compete with Porsche. Game over even before it arrives...

    Emira production is underway

At Naples once you put your money down and they have you hooked, they NEVER tell you exactly where you are in the allocation queue. As I was told by my sales person, each salesmen supposedly only have access to their individual clients and can't see the 'big picture' to know where each person...

    Emira production is underway

I had to proactively push multiple times to get the info. Honestly, I feel people probably jumped the line in front of me. But that's how life works sometimes. For now, I'm keeping my deposit. However, if the production reviews aren't amazing, I'll probably pull the rip cord and get a Porsche.

    Emira production is underway

Just got the bad news from Lotus Naples. I put a deposit down last August 2nd and didn't make the "cut" for a First Edition. They think I "may" get a car later half of 2023.

    The waiting could be worse...

I tried to buy a new Porsche 911 Targa in California from out of state this weekend. It was listed on the Porsche website. Once they learned I was from out of state, they canceled the deal. Only in state buyers were allowed. With the cargo ship issue, more dealers are likely to be...

    Quick U.S. Update

Agree...unless they are selling allocations to other dealers as speculated by others. When I was at the reveal in Naples back in November, one of the sales guys got on the microphone in front of a hundred or so folks and says 'there's still time for you to put down a deposit and get this car...

    Quick U.S. Update

I also find Lotus of Naples a bit shady. I spoke to them today and two of their people are flying out tomorrow to London to finalize their 'plans'. Supposedly, when they get back, they will release more info. The thing I find most shady about them is they don't want to tell me where I am...

When are journalists getting the Emira?

It will be interesting to see what Doug Demuro (the Youtube Quirks and Features) car guy has to say about the Emira. At the beginning of 2022, he listed cars he wanted to review and cars he didn't. He put the Emira in the "not excited to review" category because he doesn't think it can...

POLL (North America): Deposit day for those either offered a V6 FE or placed their V6 FE order

Lotus of Naples (supposedly THE largest Lotus dealer in the World) has yet to send out any notifications on allocations to individuals.....at least that is the word my sales guy is telling me.

Thoughts on the 2023 Nissan Z

I have always been a huge fan of the Z car. I have been contacting my local dealers in Florida hoping to get info on the Z for over a year and its been nothing but crickets. I went to the dealership in person this week and still the same crickets. This is supposed to be available this...

U.S. Ordering and Allocation Thoughts - What are you hearing?

Got an email from Lotus of Naples. They will likely be finalizing customer orders on first group of allocations in March 2022. Production expected in September 2022. Second group of allocations will be April 2022 with production October 2022. A third group in May 2022. If you add on...
