I try to go to as many of these as I can so I'm sure we'll meet up there soon but unfortunately tomorrow I'll be traveling up to VA to visit family so I won't make it with the amazing weather. Enjoy and rep the Emira/Lotus crew :)
This happened to me today. Rain sensor failure, SRS failure, no power on homelink buttons, etc. after trying to use larger wiretap connectors since the small ones I had were intermittently causing the radar detector to power off (I suspect there was too much wiggle room inside the connector)...
That's what I had remembered reading but thank you very much for the confirmation. So it's very reasonable to say then that with the added Milltek + Eventuri (vs. drop in) we should be somewhere slightly above the 462whp number which would put us around the 525-530bhp mark. It definitely feels...
To be honest I'm really not sure. I'm mostly basing this on the following (although I do know that mods are not purely additive and hence this is more of an educated guess):
GRP 3rd cat delete (+5-10 bhp?)
Milltek Valve Controller (in full open we've seen a few HP gain in some dyno testing)...
I for one really appreciate it. With work/life responsibilities and a 1 and a 3 year old, it would be really difficult for me to find the time to go do this so thank you for your service :)
Pretty much same setup here and I'm curious:
GRP 3rd cat delete
Milltek Valve Controller
Eventuri Intake
JB4 Map2 (We have 93 octane everywhere in NC)
Based on dyno evidence from the various mods (mostly the JB4 addition), I'm guessing somewhere around 510-520bhp and around 470 to the...
I followed both the towel and bolt recommendations and the actual JB4 install was really smooth (routing the OBD cable was more effort). Map1 didn't have a major noticeable impact but Map 2 is definitely a significant step forward in terms of power. As others have mentioned, 1st gear redline...
Thanks for this. I spent the small amount of time I had to work on this today routing the OBD connector into the engine bay. I couldn't bring myself to install without it as I want the max performance, smoothness, and safety and I want to be able see all the data.
I tried the grommet method...
Did you have a chance to test the JB4 yet? I've been following your posts and am eager to hear your feedback. I've had my JB4 sitting on a shelf for many weeks now and just haven't had the time to install and test it. I also installed the Eventuri a few weeks ago and LOVE the difference in...
I have had the same experiences as most of what you said except the following:
The steering wheel doesn't really bother me...maybe I've just gotten used to it.
Reliability for me has been fine with just a few transient CELs and a couple limp modes during break-in. From miles 4-5K, nothing...
How are you liking the Eventuri a few months later? I just received mine in the mail today from @GRP and am looking forward to installing it. Of course, the improved sound is really my #1 concern closely followed by the associated power gains.
Man sorry to hear that. I don't really launch the Emira from a dig just out of an abundance of caution but it's a bit concerning that a 4K launch killed it. I guess we'll all have to be even a little extra careful if we're running it hotter than stock. Hope you get it sorted out quickly.
Thanks @Coreyalert3. It's fantastic to have some data with a common setup (Milltek VC, 3rd Cat Delete, + Intake). Those numbers looks like what I'd expect without an all out launch from my experience. With a JB4 Map2 tune (assuming it's really pushing another ~90whp), I would expect that 1/4...
While I'd love to have a big ole' V8 in the Emira, if there is no frunk OR trunk, it makes it borderline impossible for any real road trips with another person. I'd rather keep it the way it is if the JB4 lives up to the hype. With the added ~100whp it should be much closer to the GT3 in terms...
