My personal recommendation is just do it. It should only take a couple hours or so unless you are really trying to get fancy with the routing. You won't regret it and once it's done you'll be able to enjoy the smooth power as much as you want and not have to worry about it!

I would recommend checking all your connections to make sure nothing is disconnected or loose and if everything looks right, you might consider reaching out to @Terry at Burger for help. I have had zero issues running exclusively in Map2 for several months now.

I agree with you that the wording could be improved to help set expectations properly. I interpret all the above to mean: Stated power gains are achievable without the OBD2 connector (even on Map2) but your results may vary. I assume that the JB4 probably errs on the side of caution for Map2...

I haven't switched mine from Map 2 in months. It runs/feels smoother with the JB4 and I don't notice any change in fuel economy, either. I say, send it. Feels like how the car should be from the factory. Plenty of power.

Warranty question notwithstanding, what you are looking for is the JB4 Map2 experience.

Yeah I'm interested as well. I was firmly in the "needs more power camp" but have never felt that again since JB4 + Eventuri. I would still love more redline but the power is plenty for street driving.

This is very true. Even my 5.7L V8 Hemi RAM 1500 feels pretty rowdy from 0-60 but at higher speeds where HP/weight ratio really matters, diff story.
