Just passed the break-in mileage - impressions

Great write-up. I don't think any amount of added speed would ever change my mind from going from the sound and playfulness of the V6 MT (especially with JB4 tune + other mods), but I DO want to go test drive an I4 for funsies and I'm really glad you're happy with the 4 banger! I think I need...

[Raiti's Rides] The Lotus Emira is a MUST own supercharged sports car with a SUPER CAR look

Yeah he made several errors including those mentioned (adaptive suspension, electronic LSD, wireless charging, etc.) but IMHO he overcomes with some great food humor, energy, and general love for the car so I ended up watching the whole thing. Also, this wasn't an ideal spec to review so I'll...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Yeah I guess you're right, I hadn't really thought about a flash with "stock" power settings but higher rev limit and soft limiter + JB4 piggyback combination but it makes sense. In my mind it was always one or the other. Wow, what an insane setup that would be.

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

I have almost the same setup minus different intake. I know exactly what you mean. I generally shift around 6-6.5K RPM from 1st > 2nd just to avoid that and the shift is a bit smoother anyways. I think it's probably faster overall than trying to get the last drop out of 1st and risking...

Do you have any exhaust mods or is this stock w/ JB4?

What did you do to your Emira today?

Took the Emira to Cars and Coffee Morrisville today near Raleigh, NC. It's become such a massive event with reportedly over 4,000 cars every month. I gave a few revs for potential buyers who became "I'm definitely in" right afterwards. The 3rd cat delete + exhaust valve controller +...

What did you do to your Emira today?

Yeah, in my case that was not an issue at all. Granted, I'm sure I wasn't pushing it as hard as on some tracks with more experienced drivers but I was pushing to redline in both 3rd and 4th on the straight every ~2 minutes up to about 130mph for 10 laps in a row with zero issues. I was also on...

What did you do to your Emira today?

Took the Emira to my first ever track driving session at NCCAR this past week. The car's ability FAR surpasses my novice track driving skills but I learned a ton throughout the session with my Lotus instructor (Zach) who was super helpful. I ran the car all day on JB4 map 2 and it didn't break...

Unofficial GRP Lowering Kit Installation Guide

Your front looks lower than possible without the nut making contact with the lower control arm during adjustment. Were you able to adjust it down that low by hand after install? I originally installed my fronts a bit too low and I wasn't able to turn the nut on the collar because it was making...

No, factory 6,800 RPM redline applies. That behavior remains unchanged, unfortunately.

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Agreed that it's perceptional until proven. I was just making the point that in my own experience and what seems almost ubiquitous across the forum--there is a considerable power gain from map1 to map2 so I just thought it was interesting that yours results didn't follow suit there. It is...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

The map1 vs. map2 results are interesting from the recent dyno run from @jp129. I can tell you this, I feel a considerable difference between map1 and map2 on 93 octane here in NC with the mods in my signature. Something must be different and could be a combination of the lack of full...

RPM dips and bounces when revving

Wow mine does this exact thing. I've kinda noticed it before but for whatever reason it became more obvious to me this past week. I actually took a video tonight and was about to post it when I found this thread. Mine is identical behavior to @Hazz. Not a big deal but seems odd. I've never...

Anyone considering replacing their current Emira with the updated 2026 model?

I'm sure many would make the jump but after a few bolt-on mods (see sig) I don't have any burning desire for more power in the Emira as primarily a street car. Also, for this application, I personally prefer the sound of the supercharged V6 over any V8s out there that aren't flat-crank...

What did you do to your Emira today?

I'm still experimenting with my car so I can't directly answer that but I do suspect it'll be more than a one finger gap in the rear based on the rubbing I had prior to the last adjustment. @GRP has a shop car that has been problem-free for awhile at basically the max lowering amount so he...

DIY: V6 Burger Motorsports JB4 Installation

@ej20wagon - You do have to pop out the rear side panel (pretty easy) and the panel directly underneath the back window to route the cable through but you don't really have to completely remove that piece. I followed JB4's instructions here...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

It's right behind there if I recall correctly. You have to stick your hand back there and feel it and pop it out. I honestly gave up on this method as I didn't want to remove so much stuff. That said, if you remove that plastic it should be doable like the others have mentioned.

What did you do to your Emira today?

@Mr. Sparkle - You should be totally fine at 15mm. If you want additional peace of mind, after you set the rears you could use a paint marker where it would contact the CV boot and take a peek at it after a little while just to make sure there is no contact there. That's what I'm about to do.

What did you do to your Emira today?

Right now it's the same ride height on all four corners which I like from an aesthetics point of view. However, as-is, the GRP adjustable lowering collar and nut are making some contact with the rear CV boot which appears to be causing some premature wear. This is unavoidable since the perch...

What did you do to your Emira today?

I don't think it will look odd, probably a bit better than the stock spacing. I did it all at once so unfortunately I don't have spacer only pics. I think there may be some floating around the forum, though.

What did you do to your Emira today?

Finally got the Emira dialed in properly on the GRP lowering cups w/ 12mm spacers all around. Gonna have to bump up the rear height a touch and keep an eye on the CV boots, but it's looking and driving sharp.
