Last year, bought a Lotus. Dealer said, here’s the keys, a suggested route if I wanted it and off I go. Come back in an hour or two., he says. Bought the car.
There are many reasons why a car isn’t suitable for a buyer.
Spending £80,000 plus finance fees, for many, is a big deal for many.
So...
An Evora 410 went past me 3 times today in Surrey/Sussex. Green. Looked gorgeous. More power, better driving dynamics, less weight than an Emira.
That’s the car to buy.
As someone who’s bought several Lotus cars when they couldn’t give them away….
Must add, when I get the emails and calls from Lotus over the next year or 3 - which I will -asking me to buy their cars, I will just reply, “ok, I’ll take a look soon”
I’ll buy off the good guys and gals who gave...
Just catching up on this forum. I’d hoped to see lots of customer cars delivered in the U.K. and elsewhere. Sadly not many anywhere. In Europe a bunch of unsold cars for resale.
U.K. customers left behind.
Suspicions it’s because U.K. market isn’t as valuable as others?
Suspicions that Lotus...
For the Emira maybe, but add Eletre into the mix and future business plan and EU, US and Asia is where it’s at, I’d guess.
I suspect the Emira is nothing more than a gap filler car while waiting for the sales juggernaut Lotus badged products to get rolling off the Chinese lines.
A couple of mates have the base 110 with the Lichfield upgrades and love them. And they own or have owned most of the legendary sports/ supercars from the past 30 years so are pretty good judges, I’d say.
Like when Lotus at Goodwood said DV cars couldn’t be something something and so weren’t at Goodwood this year. Then a couple of days later DV cars turn up in China.
Quite comedic really.
We just need to accept U.K. is a tiny market compared to the others.
So we should all expect Lotus to...
Great to hear they actually planned to not get the U.K. cars out first. Their planning has been very successful in that case. Well done Lotus. Don’t know how all is idiots got it so wrong!
Why do you think it’s a conspiracy? Have you driven any of them?
Maybe they’ve driven the cars and they’re not that good in their opinion?
Just a guess.
Not being funny, but there’s only so much you can do with a old engine and a cable operated gear shift. The Emira infotainment felt like my...
So be would
Good call.
i wasn’t after his email address and not interested in contacting him, just wondered what his angle was when he was giving the positive messages.
Goes in the file: “Employee says their product good”.
