Lotus Silverstone for me. Sorted out my paintwork defects and a couple of other issues promptly and with great customer service. They also hosted a track day at Hethel a couple of weeks ago which was well organised and a lot of fun.
They all seem like genuine enthusiasts for the brand.
I read that the 2025 updates to the Emira include different geometry settings. I’d be interested to know what the new settings are if anyone is in the know.
Have a V6M and got to drive a Turbo SE while my car was in for some work. I was slightly apprehensive that I would find the i4 better and would want to make the change.
I needn’t have worried. The sound was bland and the drive remote and numb. Guess I’m just a manual kind of guy. I’ve...
Had the same noise on mine on start up. It’s in with the dealer and diagnosed as fluid leaking from the power steering pump onto the aux belt. New pump and belt being fitted under warranty.
I tend to agree with you. Mine with Goodyears also feels overly twitchy particularly on a bumpy road. Feel like it’s a lot of work just to keep the car where I want it. I’d also be interested in some alternative geo settings.
Agreed. I’d be a bit reluctant to buy a 2023 car where the blisters hadn’t materialised yet with the warranty running out. Better to find a car that’s already been fixed or get a price reduction on one that has blisters evident.
Otherwise, it’s a waiting game with an uncertain outcome.
To the OP I went through much the same thought process and soul searching before I bought an Emira. Having had a few interesting cars (911s, McLaren, Exige, Elise) in the past I thought I had ticked that box and was quite happy with the Elise 111s which I still have. Then I was out on a bike...
My V6 FE would now cost £102k on the configurator. I paid £56k for it, less than 2 years old and pretty much as new condition in my ideal spec. I love it but couldn’t justify buying a new car and suffering £2k a month depreciation.
Had mine done recently at Lotus Silverstone who outsource the job to a nearby tyre business. They had the Emira settings but it didn't show as Emira on the print out as the car wasn't in the database.
Yes, I'm starting to think it's just me getting used the particular nature of the Emira. It's just a bit different from the Elise which gives loads of feedback but seems a bit more directionally stable on a bumpy road. Very different cars but both a joy to drive.
I'd appreciate and feedback on a handling 'issue' which may or may not be resolved by a geo setup.
I've had the car 4 weeks and am enjoying it immensely. The ride (touring chassis) is great but I have the feeling that the steering is a bit 'wayward'. It is particularly apparent on bumpy roads...
I have the same situation. Have had the car 2 weeks and noticed the cover missing a few days ago. Spent quite a while hunting for it without success so am assuming it may have been misplaced during a previous service.
Plan to source a replacement and cable tie it.
