If I’m not mistaken, the puddle lights only activate when it’s dark out. I was working in my driveway during the day time and I remember needing to use a towel on the windshield area to darken it and it lit the puddle lights on.

Yeah you can use the frame of the car to lift it up and then place jack stands underneath
