Lotus halt all delivery to the US.

Very curious if they can move cars at an even higher price. The Emira is a blast but it’s overpriced as is for the quality alone. Living with one for the last year I’d say it’s a 80k car max

My experience is:

Looks - 10/10
Performance - 7/10
Reliability - 3/10
Lotus customer care - 0/10
Dealer performance (sample of 1) - 3/10

Just received this note from Lotus New London (US) -- hope this helps

[Hello, Fellow Enthusiast.
We finally know what is going on with the rest of the shipments for this year and a little beyond. 10% Tariff on vehicles imported beyond this point. 2025's have part of this absorbed by Lotus, 2026 and beyond will be subject to this tariff, like every other imported vehicle from the UK......]
Did it say how much of the 10% Lotus will absorb for 2025s?

Looks - 10/10. --- 100%
Performance - 7/10 --- do you have the 360HP version. US version is very quick probably with 420HP.
Reliability - 3/10. -- why so low? haven't heard to much about people with issues...mine has been trouble free (except for coolant smell from upper tank- think it's the cap)
Lotus customer care - 0/10. LOL-yes
Dealer performance (sample of 1) - 3/10. --Same my local dealer is a mess.

[ar I’d say it’s a 80k car max]

Completely disagree, I wish the car was $150k US with lower production targets. This is very unique car and don't want to see them everyday. I've already seen three in my area... $80k cars are all over the place, just a basic Mercedes E class is 80.

Mine’s a V6 manual. Performance is good, but it could do with a bit more and the steering’s not as good as the Evora
Reliability….I haven’t got the time to list out all the issues I’ve had. In six months I’ve had the car for 5 weeks and the rest of the time it’s been in the dealers getting fixed. It’s also about to go back in for another extended stay….maybe 3/10 was too high!

just got this from my dealer

Oh no.... prepare for the saga that is the "Tale Of Orchidbike".
Whilst mine has been trouble-free too; having heard Orchidbike's story I'm surprised he didn't give a negative score here.

New London is/was my dealer. I didn’t get this message from them, nor anything other than “let’s just wait and see.” Well, as mentioned I’m done waiting, so I pulled the plug and am going to see what’s available here and now, not what might exist in some future fantasyland.

Wasnt there a thread he dedicated to his issues?
If there wasnt, there should have been, it deserved one

I think there was. But I don't dare look for it - it was too depressing to read and I am irrationally scared that I will catch some of Orchidbike's Emira's curse.

Still he has got his Emira back now, fingers crossed it'll stay fixed and we'll see him and his car at the meet-up 20th July.

Event link here for anyone interested in going.

Yes, but…….

It goes back in on Monday to fix the issues that a) they missed last time and b) the issues they caused doing the work last time
