My Specs:
Emira V6
Has anyone else had the experience of both footwells becoming soaking wet if quite simply leave an Emira outdoors for a few days when it has rained heavily?

Still being investigated by the factory after a month?

Dealer service person stated they had not experienced any other Emira having this issue.

Does anyone know if there is a permanent factory fix giving a long term solution?

I’m in the UK, so plenty of rain experience! My car is left outside and a daily, so driven in the rain and sits in the rain. Both footwells completely dry.

In the UK too and have the car parked outside too. My footwells are also completely dry.

Only thing I've had a bit like this was a couple of times I found both windows partly down in the morning after rain - caused by me having the remote in my pocket and accidently holding down the button to remotely open the windows half-way. This was fixed by getting the Banc key fob cover and that has stopped the button being accidently pressed. In this case the doors were wet but not the footwells.

Are the footwells the only part of the interior that is getting wet? Any sign of where the water is getting in?

Hmm...i had same thing. Thought it was door seals but turned out to be leak through bulkhead where it wasnt sealed from factory. Only showed up after very heavy rain as it pooled in bulkhead then spilled over into footwell. A known but not common issue. Involved complete stripdown dash out etc but all fixed by excellent guys at Lotus Bristol.

Thank you all of you who have experienced water ingress.
It is not something obvious or the dealer & factory would have found it with their extensive water tests. It has only ever occurred when it was left outside unused for a period of time while we were away and we had heavy directional rain. It is normally always garaged, not left outside. Having waited over a month for the service agent to be able to have the car in.

It is totally frustrating to have such a fabulous car leak and the floor carpets, centre tunnel, door step and door panels to become mouldy.

I have a 1959 Elite which does not leak! 66 years of engineering improvements and the Emira leaks! No engineering solution from the service dealership or the factory to date? It shouldn’t take this length of time to find the cause and resolve the warranty issue?
