This morning, in the court of public opinion, my car was judged cooler than a Lamborghini Huracan.
There was a local car shown in a church parking lot this morning, and I pulled in next to an orange Huracan. Let me say here that if I had the resources, or more accurately, felt more comfortable being even more irresponsible with the resources I have, a bright orange/yellow/green Huracan would be near the top of my list of new cars to own. I love them! Every time I see one I get excited.
As soon as I get out of my car, a 13 year old comes up and proceeds to tell me that he can’t believe someone in our (relatively small) city has a Lotus. Multiple questions, much admiration for the Emira. Then, two boys, probably about 6 years old, come sprinting across the parking lot, right past the bright orange Huracan, to gawk at my car. “Wow! Coooooool! Can we sit in your car?!?!?!!?” Absolutely!
Even better, my own young son confirmed that now having seen the two cars side by side, he likes my Lotus better!
So, in the court of public opinion, the Emira has been judged by a jury of boys aged 6-13 years old, as superior to the Huracan! And let’s be honest, though we may be “grown” now, we have these cars because it’s what the inner 6 year old boy in us all wants!
