Replica 718 GT4 RS wheels thoughts

I’m thinking about purchasing some replica GT4 RS wheels. Love the look of them, not sure if it’ll work on the Emira and the fake center locks are little dumb but what can I do.

I personally think the Emira looks better with simple wheel designs with a lot of negative space, but everyone has a style that appeals to them.

With regard to the center lock, can you just remove the cap with the faux center lock on it?

I have a couple sets of rims and although they are not RS wheels they are Porsche Aurum gold and have the imitation centre lock. That said I think your rims can be duplicated with a spot for the 5 bolts without the need to hide them. Unless that is the look you are going for. Here are a few examples.

Yea I also like the standard fi-r clones but seems so common now. I want something unique but not too busy fi-r are probably the closest to simplicity.

Aerie will usually do custom rims, if you're looking for another choice. You have to submit the design you want (which you have) and they'll create whatever size/offsets, with a center opening that will match the Emira center cap (which they'll likely throw in n/c -a set of 4- they did for me for my V2's; I was also able to use the OEM lug nuts). If you're not concerned about timing (expect Aerie to take longer), this could be an option for you. That said, Greg is great to deal with and if he's already got a ready made rim pattern for you, he may be just what you're looking for. You decide if you price shop between those 2 or any others, before you pull the trigger. Keep in mind that Black Friday pricing, is just around the corner for both Aerie and Greg.

FYI, I've attached a photo of my Emira with the gunmetal grey Aerie V2's (forged monoblock aerospace aluminum 6061) and black/silver OEM center caps they provided. They save about 25 lbs of unsprung weight (all 4 combined), which is great for the track. Good luck!

I have considered the exact same one also, would love to see how it would look on the Emira. Go for it, if it looks good I might get a spare set with a more aggressive ET.

Btw if you getting it from China, make sure you go with a good manufacturer that uses the good core.
