No Aircon or fans

Afternoon all

I’ve just gone for a drive and couldn’t understand why the windscreen wasn’t clearing as it was idling before I went out.

Turns out I have no aircon, heating or fans. Nothing is coming out of the fans at all, no matter what setting I have on.

I’m very aware of the issues with the resistor and have already had the water shielding installed back in later 2024.

Can anyone confirm that when the resistor goes you loose all heating, cooling and fans? Just looking to confirm a resistor issue or if it’s likely something else.

Thanks, as I suspected.

Did they make you go in to diagnose before agreeing to fix it? I’m a way from my nearest dealer so it’s a right pain to have to travel for them to confirm what I already know to be the issue!

No my dealer (oakmere in Northwich) had them in stock off the shelf as they replace them on a regular basis, i described the problem and they said “resister pack drop it off tomorrow” they had a courtesy car waiting for me as well bloody brilliant service i thought it would be the next day to pick up my car as its a booked 8 hour job to do but they have done so many that they have it off to a t and the car was ready a few hours later.

I’ve dropped Silverstone (my localish dealer) a message so hopefully they can approve over the phone. At least it’s happened before the 3 years is up (although not by much!).
