Trying to gather some of you lot to go to some track days to have fun and hone your skills in the lotus Emira.
please post below with interest.
Typically i go with Goldengate Lotus and Socal Lotus club organized events..

Interested. My friend can possibly host a lotus-only event if we have enough people

Interested as well

If you guys are not a member of Golden Gate/Socal Lotus club yet, highly recommend you join. I did Buttonwillow track day with them in May and it was really nicely organized. A month later, did Willow Springs with Speedventures. Also well organized however probably twice the amount of cars and I was the only Lotus on the grounds.

The club is having a couple of events coming up as well as a multi day Socal/Central tour which they are calling "Ruta Ligera Tour".
November 2-Buttonwillow Raceway – Classic Track CW13
November 22 - Willow Springs Raceway – Big Willow

My wife and I will be at the Ruta Ligera w/ our Emira, and at the 11/22 Willow Springs (although with an Elise). We are down in San Diego (and part of SD Lotus Club) but more than happy to make the drive up for events when we can!

The problem with the GGLC site is that its really only the Norcal guys keeping it updated. I hear the Socal crew is using instagram to organize but havent really confirmed yet.

Lotus Club of SoCal: https://lcosc.org/ & https://www.instagram.com/lotusclub_socal/
San Diego Lotus Club: https://sandiegolotusclub.org/
Both clubs are affiliated with Golden Gate Lotus Club (https://gglotus.org/). They are "one" club, so joining the GGLC will make you a member of all.

Club Track Event philosophy, keep the numbers low, maximize track time, keep the cost down. Possible because the club is a non-profit and events are run to be financially viable (breakeven with bit extra to keep the clubs viable). Event registration is on motorsportreg - https://gglotus.motorsportreg.com/

I really enjoy what gglc/lcosc does. Lots of on track time, very chill and helpful participants. Good vibes all around.

Once you are a member, you get emails from the Socal guys. I don't have Instagram but I get all of the comms nonetheless via email and/or FB

Im looking forward to maybe doing the lcosc 11/2 Buttonwillow classic if anyone wants to join for that.

Interested but I am a newbie. 11/2 is the day when the daylight saving ends.
I was a newbie at buttonwillow in May. If I may suggest, sign up with the club, with the novice group obviously, and hire a coach. He/she will take you out in their car (in my case, it was a C7) who owned an Exige at one point.

Next, we took my Emira with him driving it (hang on for your dear life). My Emira was probably saying WTH, what is this new guy doing to me...not used to this. Finally, we went out in my car with him in the co-pilot seat. After 3 rounds, I was comfortable enough to do the rest of the day without him although he offered to sit with me as long as I wanted.

Having the coach present not only calmed my nerves, but he taught me invaluable skills such as pointing, cornering, looking for cones and markers, steering, braking and most important of all...not to engage your E-brake in the paddock.

Coaches are highly recommended for first timers or even after 50 events. There's always something to learn!

Note: A most GGLC/LCOSC track days coaches are available but in limited supply. Sign-up early and request a coach. Additionally, the club will insist on a coach for at least one session with any first timer.
