The complex' administration gave me the green flag to store my Lotus during winter time in a underground apartment complex where the parking space belong to someone in my family.

Some jealous old f*cking woman? with too much time complained to administration and didn't want my car to stay there since I do not own the parking space...

The administration decided that I had to leave the underground parking lot in late-November. I live about 1h drive from the storage area.

Context: The maximum date for winter tire in Quebec is December 1st; my car isn't insure/plate for road use (officially stored); It snowing crazy outside...

Result: I had to call towing to help me move my car during a winter storm; we passed about 6 cars that were in the ditch because of icy road....

I hope at least I made some people smile on the road.
(Sorry for bad picture, I was driving and didn't want to kill myself)

Had to rant... Thank you!

How is this possible? If the parking space belong to a family member why cant they decide who (and which car) is allowed to park there?

Legit question!
Here in Quebec if you live in a "co-ownership" (share a building with multiple owners, like an apartment), then there is a document of rules that everybody must abide.
Even if you are an owner you can't go over that document...

Exemple: You want a BBQ but the document says its forbidden, than no chance you can have a BBQ.

The document will often have "grey area" which in those time a small Administration Group made of voted owners will take action to managed the building.

I explained everything to administration which they gave me the right to let the car sit there under a cover, battery unplug. Old woman complained to administration that the Lotus was NOT own to my family member, so administration gave in to the woman and asked me to leave.

We didn't want to fight because it's the beginning of winter and I didn't want to move the car in -40C, 1meter thick of snowof January/Ferbruary. But next year I'll find a loophole and let the car sit there.

I'm already thinking about buying my family's apartment and making her a tenant (she's 90+ year olds, doesn't change much to her)

Well thats about it thank for listening my TedTalk!

Will the space sit empty then? This is just bonkers to me. I could careless what my neighbors do with their own space.
Yup 100% empty, My aunt (which own the space) never owned a car or even a driver's license, so the lot will remain empty... Just old people complaining because they have too much time and can't let other people enjoy life. Crazy
