I have an i4 amg with about 5k miles and recently developed creaking or crackling sounds from dashboard under steering colum area or foot well. This only sounds driving on uneven bumpy roads. The dealership confirmed it and got authorization to dismantle the dash but since I lived 2.5 hrs away and wasn't there primarily for that reason, I postponed the diagnostics for another day and another closest dealership 2hrs away

My I4 is also quite creaky. Early on in my ownership, the dealer did something which improved it at the time and for a while, but it’s back. It doesn’t strike me as a major issue, but is quite annoying for sure.

You sure it's the dash? My V6 does something similar and it's the steering wheel that I'm hanging on to and 'wringing the life out of it' :)

sit in the car, grab the wheel and do a bit of gentle pushing/pulling and see

Known issue and think there's at least a couple threads on this here. My i4 is at the dealer getting diagnosed and iirc on the other thread Lotus knows about this - I will update once I pick up my car sometime next week what it is and if they actually repaired whatever is creaking. On my car it's more easily induced if the left front suspension is compressed but the sound is there over anything bumpy really.

Me too....going in Wed for some updates and will test drive with tech on dash creak. Other poster stated removal of dash identified 3 out of 4 dash point mounting rubber boots were absent.....so much for hand made, give me the robots.

i have same issue, but haven't decided to bring in yet until maybe bringing in for something else.

Few threads on this. Main thread

few other side threads

Same on my I4 but I think it is coming from the passenger seat. I cant quite pinpoint it but, I didn't notice it this weekend when I had a passenger in the car with me (or at least didn't notice it as much)
