My Specs:
Emira I4
Hi Guys, new on here....some help please. I4 where car opens but won't start. I put her away and didn't start her for a few weeks (many weeks can't recall how many). Lotus app says battery at 11v. Because she's reversed very tight into back corner of garage getting to battery not going to be easy. Got Noco charger on another car (I know... should have thought ahead for the Emira🤦‍♂️). Is there a 12v socket in cabin that can be used to charge ?
Thanks in advance

There's a Lotus app?! Is this just an i4 thing?

On the V6 there's a socket on the back side of the armrest. I don't know if you can charge from it.

Best to fit leads to the battery for your charger.
Here's a good thread to read:

The Lotus Scorpion Tracker shows you the battery voltage.
You can even set it to send you an alert/email when the voltage gets too low.

Thanks guys. Yes the app is via the tracker. I wasn't aware of alert.. Will check that
I read today the 12v socket probably is not permanently live. so, with a bit of challenge got to battery... on trickle. See how she is tomorrow

Have you considered using car skates? (lift car up, pull out of garage, open trunk, access battery)

For most cars 12V is required to start the car. If the car will power on, you should be able to turn on to accessory mode (emira mode2 i think) , then foot on brake and shift into Neutral. (most car procedure) Then you can push the car forward enough for trunk access

Guys thanks very much for all replies

A younger fitter more agile person got it connected.. charged and all good.I

Hi! If it helps for the future, I have read on the forum that if you lock the car when parked in the garage, the battery will hold a charge much longer than otherwise. I have parked my Emira "locked" for up to six weeks, and it fires right up.

How do you get the app to send you a low mileage alert please?
Nick, like Yorkie I wasn't aware of that. How do you get the low alert?
You can set alerts on the App by going to Settings and then Alerts. Press the + icon and fill in the fields and Alert type etc.

I found it easier to do it on the Lotus Scorpion Track website though.

Go to the top round world icon on the left, Vehicle Management, and then Alerts, then Create Alert.
I haven't had an alert for low voltage yet but I also have it set for Ignition On and get an email and an App alert whenever the car is started.
Text alerts cost money for some reason but email/app alerts work well and are free.
Something I've been wanting to play with is setting a Geofence alert for when the car goes out of my local area to see how well that works.

Settings/Alerts then hit + button to add a new alert. Select the alert type (low battery) then fine tune other parameters and save your newly created alert.

From what I understand the 12v socket in the cabin isn't active with the car off and I don't think it is input and output. The I4 is rather interesting in how it utilizes the alternator to charge the 12v battery (Kaz has a thread with some insight into it). My personal view is the tender is almost a must have for the I4s and keeps away a lot of the low voltage issues that seem to pop up otherwise

Cheers all for the help.

And yes, I did mean Battery low rather than low mileage! 🙃
