I have a 1969 Beetle! In solving the floor-mounted gas pedal problem it will introduce two more: the brake and clutch pedals are floor mounted as well.
Looks like a Corvair engine. Geez, what's the rear weight bias increase?
Keeping it to Emira, I found the clutch pedal too far away when I adjusted the seat to put the gas pedal in a comfortable position. My right shin would cramp because I had to flex my foot up too much. I put a spacer behind the clutch pedal's aluminum face by drilling out the rivets and replacing them with long thin bolts and nylocks which sandwiched the block securely in place. You cannot see it unless you stick your head down in there.
Q- "Looks like a Corvair engine. Geez, what's the rear weight bias increase?"
....Exactly the same as a 911
If you dropped it out of an aeroplane, it deff wouldn't fall front first.
Yeah, 1967 2.7 (164ci) Corvair big valve 140, with home made EFI, and 917 looky-likey cooling fan intake.
It looks like it sticks out more that it actually does, because this particular buggy style has a very short arse.
When you see it next to a genuine Meyers Manx Corvair (in this case, the Steve McQueen 'Thomas Crown Affair' car), that looks more normal, as the body has more overhang..
