Just jumped on the Australian configurator as I saw someone post a new configurator was up.

I noticed the First Ed v6 man starting price now shows $209,990 (plus dealer delivery & on raod costs), which is up from $199,990.

The i4 is now $199,990, up from (if i recall correctly) $193,990.

I am referring to $AUD of course. Is this new or have I just missed the news whilst under a rock?

Yes it certainly looks like it! Makes the original V6 Manual FE price of AUD $184990 look like a bargain.

A V6 Base will probably end up being more expensive than the V6 FE. I feel sorry for those who decided to wait for a base edition. :(

No need to feel sorry, - Later, and Base Editions have access to the 13 colours & likely a more reliable car

Sure, but I'd still pick the colour I picked and have no reliability issues with mine! So I got mine early and saved $25k. What's not to like. :)
There are 46 Emira's on Autotrader, about £73k, you will be able to pick up one even cheaper in 6 months !

Nice. More to come. US customers to get it in the @$$ as well I’m sure, and without a single delivery as of yet.
And if they do many will drop out and Lotus will have a hard time in the US. Their prices are already approaching the cut off point for me. I was fine at the $85k for my I4 but at $102k when I submitted my build that’s my limit. Anymore more increases and I will buy a used Porsche and be done. I understand China is having money issues but don’t use us to make up for your shortfalls.

Guys, do you remember when they were going for a 60k pound car??!??! Am I crazy or was that a selling point? I remember early on there was so much buzz about a 60k car. Sure the FE is more expensive, but the bas was supposed to be around 60k pounds or 70ish usd.

“Decided to wait”…..no. I didn’t. Dealer just got 50 total allocations and 95 deposits in 2021. Not my fault.

I got lucky, I was on base edition as I missed out FE. Then a new allocation of FE (4 to my city) became available so I jumped on that instead... Then a gift from the heavens I was able to take over a 2021 contract from someone else at pre price increase (185k AUD, circumstances for the guy meant he couldn't complete on delivery).. lotus let me step in as I had large deposit down for 1.5 years and got messed around with the base "might not be delivering for a few years"... I got super lucky, not my exact spec and colours (still absolutely love the DV). I feel the price increases are good for residuals?
