My Specs:
Emira V6
Hey everyone.

Looking for some feedback ( left hand drive vehicle - Canada )

I purchased the Aerie Titanium exhaust kit - Cat delete , Titanium muffler and Titanium Tips .

I installed last night and have some concerns / looking for some potential solutions or experiences with it.

I pulled the bumper to install the Tips / Taps - Not a bad job at all, Yanked the old muffler and 3rd Cat together and installed the new kit - Transferring over the mounts and control valve.( another concern )
This kit is stunning to look at , Beautiful finish but the fitment is not quite right...

The top tube that comes to driver side - touchers the heat shielding on the bottom of the car .
The passenger side exit fits nicely into the tip location , then the driver side is touching the tip ( towards passenger side )

I am thinking about adding a couple washers between the mounts and the body to drop the exhaust 1/8th or so - but this will effect how the lower diffuser fits ( hopefully not much )

but these things have 0 left to right movement when mounted.....
Am I pulling this bumper back off and shimming the tip/tap to correct ? I dont see another way

Lastly was the control valve mount - The spring wasn't " tight" between the valve and control motor - I could wiggle it by hand and dislodge it- I found the mounting plate had 2 washers between it and the bracket - I removed them and managed to get it to a point I think it will stay even with natural car vibrations.

Any feed back would be appreciated.
For the money spent on this kit - I was hoping for a spot on fitment....

Is this the Aerie V 1 or V2 titanium exhaust and is this a V6 or I4 application? I agree that having the exhaust in direct contact with the heat shield will transfer more heat than you want. There are others here who have installed the Aerie exhaust who should be able to comment on their installation experiences..

Hey sorry. Yes V6 and should be V2 I purchased like 3 weeks ago at most

Hi, we spoke already on instagram. Mine touching nothing but still have droning around 60mph/110-130kph. Welcome to the forum

Hi, I think I have the rev1 but cant be sure. Didnt have issues with touching the vehicle. Pipes were not perfectly centred but can be manipulated with the mounts and when you do up the 3rd Cat del pipe. I had my fabricator redo the rear pipes and extend them 8cm and the other 10cm so they are flush with the outlet and remove the drone mostly so it isnt exiting behind the bumber basically.

There is another post on the forum here by Eagle7. He did alot of work including the idea of extending. Well worth a read.

I think that is what will have to happen is some additional work - But a bit annoying to think you should have to do that after the purchase. Its not like i'm trying to weld in Vibrant mufflers hoping for the best !
Ill update when I try shim the mounts to drop it some.

Thanks for the feedback . Maybe this post is more of a rant I guess

You don't want it to touch. The titanium gets extremely hot. Additionally, The heat shielding down there is about as cheap as Lotus could have gone. It's essentially heat resistant foil skinned cardboard (couldn't think of a better description). Said another way, once it penetrates the heat shielding metallic skin, it goes from heat resistant to "flammable". Lastly, I can tell you on the i4, there was no physical contact anywhere outside of the pipe clamps and mounting points.

Regarding the titanium exhaust system you've purchased, we understand your concerns about a potential installation issue, particularly with the exhaust pipes contacting the vehicle body. We would like to clarify that our systems are produced using molds, which minimizes the likelihood of such issues occurring.

Could you please send us your order number via private message? This will allow us to check the shipping date for your batch of products.

It's worth mentioning that in our latest production run, two Emira V6 customers who installed the system reported no issues. We want to ensure everything is correct because when our factory manufactures the titanium exhaust, it uses molds to ensure that all tubes are oriented the same way.

Please rest assured that we are responsible sellers and will assist you moving forward. If the issue does originate from the product, we will arrange for a replacement.
