Waiting to order
My Specs:
Emira V6
I visited my dealer today to check on the order and they had a handful of new 2026’s just arrive. Mine is due in January. I noticed this new sensor in the front that I’ve not seen before. I’m sure it’s a safety Nannie but for parking or crash protection?

What I learned is that the 2025 have the wiring for sensor while I was at the dealership for a repair. So they might be able to retro fitted.

Imo that sensor really does loo odd, particularly on a small sports car. It makes the front grill look too busy with the 2 embedded parking sensors, a hole for the tow hook and the now added huge cyclops' sensor.
I had noticed some time ago the existence of a pre-wired unconnected harness under my front hood, the purpose of which I always suspected was for that upcoming ACC. Now that it has materialized, I feel lucky I did't get it. Hopefully, those with 2026+ models who will wish to perform an ACC delete, could just disconnect it without triggering a fault code and then swap for a cleaner pre-2026 grille.

Don't worry about it's looks. The front license plate will totally block it :)

IIRC, I think adaptive cruise control was only for V6 autos and I4 DCTs anyway so if any of you are getting manuals then your cars won't even have this.

It even says so in the Owner's Manual.

China emiras has had this since forever.

Front plates will go closer to the center bottom.
