Has anyone run into this? Everything was fine. Had the vehicle for a year, just installed the battery tender cable (disconnected the negative terminal in the process by accident). Been using the tender since I hadn’t been driving often. First I started getting the limited telematics message, and still do on first startup. Now I’m intermittantly getting the battery message.

As an aside, I saw a wiper error message pop up on starting tonight and it cleared on its own.

Checked battery steady state at 12.6V and while running at 13.6V. Closest dealer is about 2 hours away, so trying to avoid that if possible.

Thoughts?

Look for the battery discussions on here.
It explains how the car has an unusual charging cycle, and dosn't like a bunch of short trips.

someone said telematics runs on a separate battery that doesn’t charge via the tender. It seems to be true because when I started driving the car more, I didn’t see it anymore.

For the low battery voltage, that’s very strange especially since you are on a battery tender. Maybe your battery is bad? I had to do a full repair cycle of my battery using my Noco genius 10 when my car arrived. I think it was sitting on the dealer lot for several months

The Telemtics issue was supposedly fixed with a software update some months ago
If you are getting this and not had S/W updates recently, I'd suggest you will need a visit to the dealer just to resolve that
