What did you do to your Emira today?

I put on new Falken Azenis RT660+ tires, new rotors, and had an alignment done.

Anyone add a baffle to the OEM oil pan?

    That’s what I was thinking.

Anyone add a baffle to the OEM oil pan?

    Thanks. I’ll ask my dealer.

Anyone add a baffle to the OEM oil pan?

The more I track the car, the more I recognize the need to get either a baffled oil pan or add a baffle to the stock/OEM oil pan. I’m thinking about getting the WRW oil pan baffle from Monkey Wrench Racing - it will fit in the stock oil pan. Anyone have experience with this product...

Who here has tracked their Emira?

I switched to EBC yellow pads for this season…last year, the OEM pads threw chunks of pad material. The EBC yellows seem to be wearing evenly (enough) for having done 2 track days so far this season.

    Hood loose? Rattle

I do not have that amount of play in the hood. My hood went loose at the passenger side latch/spring mechanism near the windshield, but it was an easy fix.

    Who are "The Drivers"

March 4, 2024 delivery…5600 miles. I have 4 other cars that I enjoy driving, so I’m impressed with myself that I have put that many miles on the Emira (though 1000 miles were road trip miles).

Curious…Why do you change driving modes so frequently?

Who here has tracked their Emira?

Tire Rack appears to have them for $1482 for a full set… https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=ADVAN+NEOVA+AD09&frontTire=435WR0AD09XL&rearTire=93WR0AD09XL&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Lotus&autoYear=2024&autoModel=Emira&autoModClar=

Who here has tracked their Emira?

Not really…Choices are really limited (right now). It’s too bad that the Bridgestone RE-71 RS doesn’t fit. If I don’t go with the Cup 2, I’ll try the Yokohama ADVAN NEOVA AD09 or ADVAN A052…but maybe I’ll get lucky and Bridgestone will size the RE-71 RS for the Emira soon!

Who here has tracked their Emira?

I’m assuming you are talking about the road course and not the oval… The life of consumables like tires, brakes, rotors, etc. vary greatly by track, driving style, road surface, vehicle weight, and tire tread wear rating. I track more than just my Emira, but for the Emira I did 4 track days...

What to do? 911T plus Base Emira

My 1M just turned over 44K miles, so about 3K miles per year. The Emira replaced my Porsche Cayman T, which was more of a daily sports car. My wife and I share a manual transmission Cayenne for true daily duties - kids, dogs, Costco…

What to do? 911T plus Base Emira

If the V6 is discontinued, don’t expect clean, decent mileage V6 examples to depreciate - like the Elise and Exige, prices will go up after a few years. I am also fortunate to have more cars than I can drive regularly - if you can stretch to add a manual V6 Emira, do it. I have been surprised...

    Portable Pivot Lift

There are very specific lift points on the Emira (Elise, Exige, and Evora too) due to the aluminum chassis. A good example of lifting the car (including using “pucks”) may be viewed at:

    My Emira $hit itself again…

I didn’t ask for details, but it was more than not properly secured - I read the manual and checked the securing fasteners…that was not the issue.

If you sold your EMIRA what’s next?

It moved to a 6-speed, but Porsche said it did not alter the gear ratios. See also: https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a62933258/2025-porsche-911-carrera-t-manual-drive/

No, but I bundled the excess cable with a Velcro tie. It’s decent enough.

High delivery mileage on new order.

Google the VIN…You might get hits (images too) if the car was previously offered for sale. Personally, I would walk - too much wrong that you can see may translate to a lot more that you cannot!

How many miles you got on your Emira!?

3/4/24 delivery, 4500 miles. Two replaced Mass Airflow Sensors, costing a month of drive time while sitting in the shop…Otherwise, trouble-free.

    Reliability for long road trip?

I’ve done two 400 mile road trips without issue, but a third road trip that ended quickly after a CEL came on and resulted in engine power loss. Restarting didn’t help, and it turned out to be a failed Mass Airflow Sensor that took 3 weeks to diagnose and fix.

I’m now on my 3rd Mass Airflow Sensor

I didn’t ask the service department. The dealership is conveniently less than 10 miles from my house and I don’t have a code reader.

Is this foam trim supposed to be on the hood?

I think the problem is that the venting of the hot air off of the radiator weakens the adhesive holding the foam piece, causing it to fail.

I’m now on my 3rd Mass Airflow Sensor

Good idea…If this MAF sensor also fails, then I will offer your suggestion. (Got the car back this morning).
