VF Tuner - Upgraded Supercharger Lid

It sounds like they are moving forward with red.

    Front splitter only

It's a mid-engine car. I know these are set up well from the factory with the aero they were able to build into the body, but nearly all mid-engine cars benefit from a front splitter. With that said, most cars from the factory are set up to understeer anyway. You can't go wrong with a splitter...

VF Tuner - Upgraded Supercharger Lid

Ignore me. I quickly googled and it spit out the TVS1900 which I knew was incorrect. Thanks VF! Order placed.

VF Tuner - Upgraded Supercharger Lid

Got it. Thank you! I knew they changed superchargers. I wasn’t sure about the lid specifically.

VF Tuner - Upgraded Supercharger Lid

How do we specify it’s for the Emira through the link listed earlier? I didn’t see that stated previously and swear I thought I saw a preorder link on the website previously.

VF Tuner - Upgraded Supercharger Lid

I suppose I can always powder coat it. On most cars red would look great, on a yellow car it will look like McDonalds lol. Placing a preorder now and hoping we can break into the lower price bracket.

Unofficial GRP Lowering Kit Installation Guide

It's custom. I pulled a few images from the GT4s listed online and asked them to replicate it to the best of their ability. We discussed line/gap widths and where they start and end a bit, but otherwise they just got it done.

Unofficial GRP Lowering Kit Installation Guide

I think it's perfect at this point. No rubbing of any kind. The rear as listed above is still in the same place with no issues on the CV Boot. (I read somewhere that different cars may have different boots. If that's true I would be hesitant to state it should work for ALL cars, but my boots...

Emira V6 - Bolt-ons, Catalytic Converters, and Passing Emissions

I also live in Ga. It's a county by county issue here. Chatham county for instance doesn't check emissions. If you want to get around it, register it in Montana via an LLC. It's a cheap and simple process.

Rotating or swapping Cup 2s left to right all arond

I agree with Crainp. If it's a dry track, you won't have any issues swapping them around as the contact patches remain the same even if the tread pattern is reversed.

Post a pic of the car you replaced with your Emira! And impressions too.

I had some hoops to jump through for sure but ultimately got it done. It’s the only road registered R currently in the states. There are a few S models running around.

VF Tuner - Upgraded Supercharger Lid

After reading through this. I’m down to place an order. Have we confirmed this will be in black regardless of the logo (I see your site offers red)? Base JB4, we’re claiming 12 hp, but unsure of tq figures? With higher maps and mods we believe it will unlock slightly higher figures? Otherwise...

Post a pic of the car you replaced with your Emira! And impressions too.

Of the one it “replaced” I’d say the Rx7. However from a track perspective, it’s replacing the RX8 as well because I still currently have the Zenos. Naturally, the Zenos is very similar, albeit with a lot less weight. It is the cousin of Lotus after all.

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Whelp after reading this somewhat painful 62 page thread 😂….. she’s installed and feeling great! I definitely want to book a dyno day to ensure my butt and reality are one. So far though, for the price, I’m a fan. My idiot self was testing it in touring mode for the majority of the time today...

Doc’s JB4 OBD wire routing DIY

Like everyone else said, thank you so much for this post. Easy install! (FYI, I did end up cutting a corner off of the upper fiberglass to more easily feed the cable through as the pry method wasn't opening it up wide enough for me to make that possible.) It hides behind the facia and is...

    Track talk modifications

I'll probably end up throwing in some Tillets or Nogaros, but are you still running with the factory seats and a harness? How is that working for you?

Unofficial GRP Lowering Kit Installation Guide

I set them before install. I did raise it slightly while on the car, but I had to jack up the suspension just enough to clear the nut without preloading the spring too much. My back is definitely clear of the boot at this time. I may end up lifting the front another 1/8 - 1/4 inch or so but...

Unofficial GRP Lowering Kit Installation Guide

It's pretty straight forward. Most of the questions I had were oddities around how they sat differently on the shock from back to front, how tight the lock nut had to be, and initially how the heck to get the front shock top mount in and out. Stick to the guide, use an impact driver, leverage a...

Unofficial GRP Lowering Kit Installation Guide

Absolutely, but from a performance perspective, that’s not at all what you want in a mid engine car. If you’re not tracking it at all, it won’t matter. I tried to keep it consistent with the 9mm factory difference front to rear as read on this forum. The challenge was, I have to take the forum...

Not the best lighting, but here is the "after" of the lowering perches. So far, I have only scraped once on a bit of a "launch" in an intersection. She clears all average bumps at this point.

Got her wrapped in the GT4 color scheme! I was going to go with something more Nimbus Grey with highlights then I said, wth. Let's spice it up.

Unofficial GRP Lowering Kit Installation Guide

@sixspeedstephen So far, I have only driven it around town maybe 10-15 miles. It's very compliant and feels as though it rides as normal. I'm sure with a slightly lower center of gravity, it has some effect on handling, but the real advantage will be once its corner balanced. I don't intend on...

Unofficial GRP Lowering Kit Installation Guide

Hello All! I recently completed installing a number of parts on my (new to me) Emira. I typically film everything to help out others, but this time I got a bit lazy and just created an installation guide. I want to be clear, this is in no way endorsed by GRP, but I felt like more info on this...
