Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out to ask if any fellow Emira i4 owners have successfully obtained the Certificate of Conformity (CoC).
I purchased my Emira i4 from a Lotus dealer in Sweden, and when I contacted them about the CoC, they informed me that this request should be handled by Lotus...
Hi all!
Just fitted a CTEK Comfort Connect Panel to my Emira i4 — thought I’d share in case anyone’s considering the same.
I didn’t want to remove the battery cover every time I needed to top up the battery (especially with these modern ECUs getting touchy with low voltage), so this little...
Unfortunately, the oil temperature isn’t available on the Emira’s dashboard — not even in the sport or track modes.
You can only access that info by pulling data via OBD, using tools like OBDEleven, Torque Pro, or similar apps that read from the ECU.
Bit of a shame, considering it’s such a...
Hi Neil,
I purchased access to Lotus’s official Aftersales Portal, where the i4 service manual is available.
It has all the technical documentation — procedures, torque specs, diagrams, etc.
You can check it out here: https://dealerportal.uslotservice.lotuscars.com/
I’ve just completed the first oil change on the car (as recommended after the first 1,000 km).
I followed the service manual procedure: fully drained the old oil and added exactly 6 liters. Bought 1 extra liter, just in case!
The level is now spot on. ✅
Totally agree!
Nothing beats the simplicity and reliability of an old dipstick. A little sight glass or dipstick backup would make so much sense… but like you said, common sense isn’t that common anymore.
Hey, just to share — I’ve had exactly the same experience with my Emira i4 (M139 engine).
The oil level reading on the dash isn’t 100% reliable, especially when you're looking at small differences like 200–300ml. It can fluctuate depending on oil temperature, how level the car is, and whether...
As a general rule, this type of certificate is typically issued by the manufacturer. It serves as official documentation confirming the vehicle's conformity with EU standards and specifications.
Hi everyone,
I’ve recently purchased a Lotus Emira and I’m now in the process of registering it in Portugal. For that, I need the Certificate of Conformity (CoC).
I wanted to ask: did any of you receive the CoC from Lotus when you bought your Emira, either directly or through the dealership...
I'm also really curious to see how the Mongoose Plus performs.
At the moment, I’m trying to find a good deal on the interface within Europe to avoid customs issues. Hopefully I can get my hands on one soon — I’ll definitely share results once I test it!
Thanks for taking the time to share all this — really appreciate the detailed feedback and your effort in testing things out.
That remote window coding sounds promising! Definitely interested to hear how it goes if you decide to try it. Hopefully we’ll see more progress soon on unlocking...
I recently ordered (from Mercedes) everything needed for the first oil change on my i4 M139, and here’s what I got:
A176 180 08 00 – OEM Oil Filter (A45S AMG)
N007603 014106 – Drain plug with washer
A000989340911ABAW – Mercedes-Benz Engine Oil SAE 0W-20 MB 229.71 – 7 liters
Everything is OEM...
From what I understand, any interface that works successfully with Toyota Techstream (Toyota3) in passthru mode should, in theory, be fully compatible with EmiraDS as well. This suggests that the software might be restricted to recognize only specific device IDs. I am about to order a Mongoose...
Unfortunately, the AUTEL interface—despite being fully compliant with DoIP and CAN FD and working flawlessly as a passthru device with BMW and Mercedes—is not recognized by EmiraDS either. It seems that EmiraDS may not support generic J2534 passthru devices and is likely hardcoded to only...
Considering how locked-down the AMG platform is — particularly on the Lotus Emira with the M139 engine — the key question is whether the JB4 is able to fully access and log CANbus data in real time, like it does brilliantly on BMW platforms. That would be essential to evaluate how well the...
I’ve finally obtained the required credentials and am sharing a few screenshots of the process. That said, none of the passthru interfaces I currently have were able to establish a successful connection, despite being J2534 and meeting the DoIP and CAN FD specifications. I’ve contacted Lotus...
Done. Already registered on the portal. Anyone already has a compatible passthru interface and was able to connect to the car?
I have some on the workshop and will give it a try. From what i've read, we are able to do the updates on most of the car modules.
I am also facing the same problem with iPhone 15. Sometimes it’s really annoying because even with a phone restart it won’t come back.
Does anyone knows how to do an hard reset on the multimedia while driving? I’ve tried pushing the pause/volume knob for some seconds but didn’t solve..
