Less.
Yep, I didn't think to weigh them at the time, nor have a scale handy. Want to buy a set of OE's?
Seriously, I've asked Greg to possibly weigh a set before they go out some time in the future......we'll see.
Did not actually weigh them but had them in my hands......Bilsteins are in my garage.
Nitrons are apparently made on demand so normally 3 weeks or so....mine took significantly longer because an out of country supplier (out of Great Britain) for one of the components was short on materials...
No lift here but I'm really liking the Fast Road Nitrons. Only a few miles on them and they are firm as I like, yet still good for spirited fun. I am a Porsche guy with several and the dedicated track car has Ohlins. Ohlins are adjustable and can be cranked down very tight...both for...
That did it guy....thank you so much.
So...if were to guess it was a 'Service' reminder....and by the clock. 12 months since the car was turned on.
I bought it w/ 830 miles but know it was an early 2024 delivery.
'SOLVED' I think.
Back to breaking in this car. :)
Love it so far.
Red....Amber....I am color blind.
It was the "General Warning Triangle" ....which is apparently 'red', according to the manual.
Any way...another thread on this and we have it solved....with the procedure of the car in the "ignition mode 1" and using the Reset procedure.
Hopefully solved.
Thank you!
Thanks for trying to help....yes, it is the yellow "General Warning Triangle" and, clicking through the various fields in the monitoring screen I see " Service overdue" message.
Well at 900 miles, and, I did the 1st oil change last week, this is probably a system generated message and not an...
New here and still learning.......any help very much appreciated.
How can I tell what the 'General Warning Triangle' is trying to tell me?
Les than a 1,000 miles on the car but 170 of those would be to the closest dealer.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
Well....just went down and moved the car and today the 'General Warning Triangle' has again, gone away.
Hope the issue has healed itself this time....whatever it was :) .
Finally in my garage and added to my stable...after mods since Feb. acquisition.
As a Pcar guy, lots to learn yet about these cars.
Appreciate this forum.
I think I have successfully reset the 'scheduled service' (using the 'Ignition Mode 1' procedure) and the triangle did go away, for a short time. But is back.
I have checked for CEC's and there are none.
Does anyone know how do we determine what else is causing the triangle?
Thanks in advance.
As an aside.....I enjoy the light-heated attitude you guys have with respect to the Lotus brand.
I'm new here, from many years in the Pcar world, and some things I notice here would require significant forgiving patience over there in Pcar land.
"....You never know with these cars if they are A)...
Good move.....congrats!
I'm not a fan of wheels that detract from a beautiful body....especially in slow-turning settings.....say parking lots of slow traffic.
All my wheels are custom and true to that idea, but I understand that wheels are a very personal thing so respect any owners views...
Sorry about your wheel.
And...excuse my ignorance but, on that close-up shot, is that texture in the clear alloy what is supposedly called "diamond cut" ?
All I ever noticed was the brighter alternating rim (and spoke) sections that appeared to be brushed or polished rather than painted but I've...
So many different opinions here...I guess it's a personal taste & impression that counts.
My 911's are definitely GT's and as a very, very, new Emira owner my impressions are that the Emira is a 'sports car' and the only comparison I have in Pcars is my 1st gen (986) Boxster back in 97.
A broad...
Are we referring to the "System status & warning lamp" which is immediately to the right of the seatbelt light (on start up)?.....if so, on my car, when I pull up the menu it says the light is telling me to schedule service....at 850 miles?
I'll look for a thread on how to reset that.
Interest thread and thanks so much for the good pics.
So.....do we think this is still the best mount for an 'under-the-mirror' install?
Kinda wish the mount could be modified to have the V1 up closer to the mirror.
On my other cars I have V1's permanently mounted up high fastened to the...
I'd imagine rebuild frequency would be relative to type of use and miles, so hard track use would make it more frequent. I track 6-8 events during the summer along w/some street use and 4-5 yrs for me is great but can be as low as 3. Around $1600 for rebuild of four, and they turn them around...
Thanks....understood on the washers.
Well, sorry, I can't "take a peak" since the car is not here. Long story but it is new (well 800 miles) and going to a couple shops for different work.
While it will be up I thought a great idea (to steal your idea) would be to replace most of that hardware...
OK….if I am counting correctly that's:
At least 19…M6X16 for securing the undertray to the front pumper panel
At least 26…M8X20 for securing the undertray to the lower crossmember
And….securing the undertray to the left and right subframe crossmember & rear tank bay
At least 15…M5X16...
Which Nitrons did you get, what have you done to your car and what wheels are you running?
Just the R1 Fast Road....no lift. This car will not be tracked.
All my cars are low...and I'm use to dealing w/it....also prefer uncomplicated shocks/struts. Just my opinion.
The car is pretty much OE...
Hey guy well......thanks for asking....the track Pcar is a modified 01 Turbo w/a new X50 motor. You'll find it on my site. Because of it's long-legs great car for big tracks like RA and Gingerman here in the Midwest. So, happy to give my impressions, eventually, but not sure how valid they will...
I've driven Ohlins on my Porsche track car for years...generally OK w/them. Rebuild every 2-3 yrs.
I'm trying Nitrons on a new Emira. We'll see.
BTW...yes Nitron now has a SoCal office but builds come from UK and seem to take forever.
