    Nitron Suspension Development

Around -15 for looks. Think the OEM is best for handling as it has the optimal roll centre.

    Nitron Suspension Development

I have the fast road. If ordering again I'd probably go a custom rate between the fast road and clubsport. There is still definitely a good bit of lean on cornering, but you can adjust this to be less with the damper settings. I'm mostly driving on road and mid-setting are a bit fidgety at slow...

    Nitron Suspension Development

If you have the softer springs and not tracking too often you could close down the dampening for track use. It makes a big different in reducing roll. ...but if your track sessions are too long it could end up heating the oil up resulting in less dampening force and shorter times between service...

    I4 Vs V6

I think the V6 manual suits the car the best after driving both. You may be able to extract better pace with the I4 but to me the Emira is on the side of a GT car because of its weight and better suited to the v6. Much more drama and sense of occasion from v6 partly due to the sound.

    'Centering' steering wheel top notch

Pretty sure if you try it this way you will mess up the stability system. Best adjusting at the steering rack which is pretty straightforward. If you adjust each side the same amount in the same direction you won't change the alignment, only the angle the steering wheel is at when the front...

Will incremental price increases in Lotus Emira reflect in used car market?

Used prices have increased slightly in Uk recently.

Is anyone here running Nitron Fastroad or Clubsport suspension?

I went from touring to fast road. I imagine they would feel pretty similar to your sports setup with the added benefit of adjustability to make them feel harder or softer depending on your preference.

    Locked out.

Good idea. With most cars, if you unlock the boot and close it you can open it again without the key - so one to watch out for. Maybe a software update which only allows the boot to open if the doors are unlocked could help, but could add more confusion too.

    Locked out.

Make sure you don’t make my mistake and accidentally leave your key inside the boot and then close it while the car is locked. Bus journey home now to get the spare key 🤦🏻‍♂️🚌

Is anyone here running Nitron Fastroad or Clubsport suspension?

I'd go for clubsports if I was tracking over Fast Road. I could see Fast Road still being too soft for some on the road.

Is anyone here running Nitron Fastroad or Clubsport suspension?

To properly corner balance it you'd need to get adjustable drop link arms to equalise the force from the roll bars.

    Adding a subwoofer

There is a difference. I listen to my music at quite a low level so sound deadening helped me the most. In my case I did. Also, I only wired in two wires from the factory sub and took the other two from the low frequency speaker above it, feeding into the Kicker sub. I felt that the...

    Emira Standard Wheel Alignment Settings?

The biggest difference here is more front camber which will result in more front grip during cornering. There is less rear toe in which will make the rear more active during cornering and less stable at high speed. Overall the new setup should understeer less.

    Adding a subwoofer

Ok, I want to look into combining the frequencies of all the OEM rear speakers and send them to my aftermarket sub and use the sub's built in freq limiter. The signals I'm getting from the sub speaker are cut off really sharply and results in some bass notes being strong and others slightly...

I've often wondered about these cheaper batteries too but don't have the knowledge to know what I am looking for. Maybe someone can advise?

    Adding a subwoofer

I fitted the pioneer tweeters and kicker sub today and not overly impressed. I think I got ore of an improvement by applying sound insulation and deadening. In terms of the sub, I tapped into the standard sub wiring so not getting a good frequency range even with the crossover at max. e.g bass...

    Emira track impressions

Totally agree about the suspension. It's way too soft. If going for Nitrons and you don't like hard suspension I’d ask them for spring rates between club sport and fast road. Fast road is too soft for the track.

2nd check engine light in less than 500 miles

I’ve had 2x o2 sensors replaced. Last time the dealer mentioned something about cars that were getting moved small distances in places like detailers had problems. I don’t understand how this could be the case. Maybe unburnt fuel in the exhaust landing on the sensor is not being blow dryed by...

    Emira Standard Wheel Alignment Settings?

Haven't noticed this. The front wheels will want to steer when going over bumps with feedback going through the hydraulic rack, but only a problem if not holding the steering wheel - so not an issue for me.

Another audio question - speaker distortion

The distortion is likely coming from the rear cabin air vent beside the sub and not the speaker.

Did lotus rob us on horsepower?

Not sure on the figures, but if they are less than advertised Lotus should change as advertised. Saying that, the Emira is not a track car in the form it sells. The suspension is way too soft. Check out the type of spring rates Evora users are using on track and even coming with from factory and...

    Limited alignment adjustments

Standard front camber is around -0.8. It’s double wishbone so not too much needed. Camber won’t help with turn in, but can improve corner grip. Too much negative and you’ll get decreased breaking grip. When on track measure temps across tyre to get the best setup for the circuit. You can get...

What to do? 911T plus Base Emira

    Emira Standard Wheel Alignment Settings?

Could take long enough to do. Not sure if the rear under tray has to come off to do the back? You can do the front without removal but there is not much camber adjustment available.

    📓 Journals NibusGrey Nitron Suspension

I just set them 14 clicks rear, 12 clicks front and went for a test drive. I was happy enough with the feel of the rebound speed after taking them for a spirited test drive. I haven't had a chance to try full soft or hard. I would rate them just as comfortable as touring on everything but...

    📓 Journals NibusGrey Nitron Suspension

So I decided to bite the bullet and get a set of Nitron one-way coilovers for my Emira. I’ve been looking at these for a long time now. I have the touring suspension and it’s way too soft for me. I went for the Nitron fast road setup which is slightly hard than the OEM sports suspension on the...
