It was using a Carlinkit android carplay box and I made the custom UI using an app that's no longer supported. Basically it's just an android tablet that uses the car's screen for its interface.

Ended up selling the car a few months back so there won't be any further progress on this I'm afraid.

Yep. Just using torque pro. It auto detected the baud rate so not sure.

You unplug it from the USB port. Nothing is “loaded” on to the car.

The fundamental question here is would you rather driver a faster car slow, or a slower car fast? The Emira is WAY more fun, but if tech is your thing you’ll miss your Tesla. Maybe something like an M2 or 911, or even a Taycan might be a good middle ground?

I had mine serviced at SSC in Sydney 6 months ago. They told me they had had engineers from Lotus head office out trying to figure out what's causing it. Over it too. The engine shakes itself violently. has to be causing additional wear and tear on things like engine mounts, etc.

As I have said numerous times now, I will share all the details once I have everything finalised and tested. It’s still very Beta and I don’t want people spending money on something that might be unstable.

Here’s the brains btw. Plus an OBD ELM reader. Still some tidying up to do but it’s functional for now. Yet to test thermal management properly. The battery is just so the Android system stays running all the time so it’s easy to go as soon as you start the car. Not essential but works nicely...

Got the Milltek controller integrated into the UI now :) Tap “Quiet” and it goes to OEM mode. Tap “Race” and the valve opens.

Yes it plugs in via USB, Yes phonecalls, Android Auto/Carplay all still work like factory but without the constant dropouts and need to reconnect every second day.

CarPlay is still supported. You just connect your phone to the new device instead of the car.

Ahh right. No it doesn’t alter the stock system at all. All the original stuff is still there. It loads over the top via Android Auto

Not integrated into the UI properly yet, but now I can control the Milltek Exhaust Valve Controller from the screen ❤️

It just connects to the car via Android Auto using the USB port, same as a phone. So no warranty issues.
