I did the first oil change in the Emira this weekend with about 800 miles on the odometer.
For reference, this is what the oil looked like…kinda dirty. Oh and ignore the yellow car in the background 😁
The offset funnel suggested in this thread earlier worked well.
I had purchased a large...
I bought mine from Lotus of Orlando, but Lotus of Jacksonville should be fine too. It’s a small dealership, but they’ve been around for many years. Back in 2021, they were selling Emira at MSRP.
I ordered it because (to me) it had a more premium look and feel compared to the leather steering wheel. I also never had a full alcantara steering before, so it was a good change. It still looks and feels new and I haven’t done anything special to it. No regrets.
My Evora GT does not burble at all. Every now and then the exhaust will do a loud bang when decelerating and downshifting, which is fun, but no burbles.
I also went through the same stupid thing. Ended up using a BBQ tong to grab the panel that was barely visible. FYI, removing the undertray will not give you access to that area.
I learned from a previous mistake and prevented the regret by not selling/trading the Evora GT. I really really like my Emira, but the Evora is wilder and a more serious sports car. I would have regretted the decision. Your Elise is on another level of wild. Keep it if you can until after you...
Off-topic, but you could put a towel on the trunk and run the trickle charger cable through the slot below the rear window. That’s what I have been doing.
I agree with your assessment. For comparison, my Emira does have sports suspension with cup2 tires, and it is still a bit softer than the Evora GT. Seems to have more suspension travel which makes it more compliant. All in a good way.
If my nearest Lotus dealership was 2+ hours away (and I am being generous), I wouldn’t buy it. It would be a PITA to address warranty and service related issues. Imagine if the car went into limp mode, you can’t safely drive it for hours to the nearest dealership. You would have to get it towed.
Since day 1, whenever I unlock the vehicle, the AC comes on. It doesn’t matter whether I open the door or not but it eventually goes off after a few minutes if I don’t start the car.
Another time the car had been unlocked for a while, and the ECU was sleeping. I popped open the gas lid from...
