    Harry got to make changes with no delay. Bit of an own goal for Lotus given they would have known all their non-VIP customers would see this and wonder how hard it really is to fit a different set of wheels for example.

    I think that must be my order I cancelled - identical spec and delivery slot incl the silver wheels. As others have said, you can still see the engine with the privacy. B&C suggested it was tinted film you could remove - but I thought it was the glass itself that was tinted, not sure if others...

    Good luck getting your deposit back. It seems likely that a group of us will need to appoint lawyers after New Year, I'm getting knowhere with CC. I'm hoping direct contact with Matt Windle will help.

    Be warned - if you do cancel you'll get your deposit back "soon". "Soon" being a gap between two non-simultaneous events that only Stephen Hawking could explain.

    That was a good day, have always liked a white dialed Rolex. At the other end of the spectrum, my Studio UnderdOg "Strawberries and Cream" arrived yesterday. Really nice fun watch - twice the price of the Omega Landfill (sorry, "Moonswatch") but in my opinion at least ten times more honest.

    I agree - all my interactions with them have been polite. By the way I'm not suggesting theyre going bust given the Geely ownership - but its a worrying sign when businesses dont refund people promptly.

    Its important to remember its your money they are returning. Providing they can prove they are giving the money back to the person who gave them the money they have nothing else to worry about.

    Yikes - that’s not good. Maybe I do need to fire up the lawyers. The FCA justification sounds pretty bogus - all they need to do is make sure the funds are returned to the person who paid the deposit, that’s it.

    The demo car is nimbus and isnt as bad on the orange peel, put it still has poor finish on the wings and its quite noticeable on the black roof. It seems to be a common issue that B&C say they have raised with Lotus - i can see people rejecting cars if its as bad as the verdant customer car.

    Back on topic - I've just had the call, I'm now Jan build, Feb delivery from Oct build/Nov delivery. The CS lady was still keen to complete the ful script - and was insistent I was still "one for the first 300", watever that means.

    Its the reality of the world, Harry has more buying power than us, he's pretty much a Lotus ambassador, so gets favourable treatment. Porsche and Ferrari have VIP customers who get preference on allocations of new models, as do Rolex and Patek etc.
