First real-world photo of silver wheels

This color combination with Seneca, black pack, silver wheels and yellow calipers looks much better than I would have guessed it would. Man this is a beautiful car!

    DARK VERDANT!?

You can really see the difference in color tone depending on the light source. I can also see the richness of the color is going to require it to be clean and polished, but oh does it look good when it is. Thank you for these pics!

So I got to take a test drive.... :)

Nice video. Anything in particular that stood out to you, whether good or bad?

New member > Deposit placed for Emira > 1st time Lotus owner > Atl, GA

"Should be" is the new "soon".

    Will they ever offer black?

Though dark colors tend to hide the lines and details of a car, the Emira shape is so distinctive it still looks good overall, even in black.

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

I've sent an email to my dealer inquiring about this. It's going to be interesting to see what he has to say.

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

There are different levels and types of customers. The conversation in this thread about that was in regards to who Matt was referring to when he made a promise that Lotus would hold to the price they originally stated when people were making their deposits and placing orders. In the U.K...

    Evija little brother

That does look lower and meaner, except that front would get destroyed in the real world. There has to be enough clearance in the front for driveways and such. Looks nice though. We'll have to see what Lotus has done with the Type 135 electric sports car. Matt said he's seen it already and...

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

Well then we've probably been in agreement all along and didn't realize it. Good enough.

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

Yeah I totally hear ya. If there were simply production delays for cars that they'd already been producing, that would be one thing, but we've been on the journey of going from concept to validation to production. And we've all had to go through this during some of the most difficult times the...

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

They have to provide some kind of value for your money. I think you would definitely have a case in court. Just because you signed a contract, doesn't automatically mean it's necessarily legal or binding. Contract disputes happen all the time. Who's your dealer? You might try looking up on...

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

You're now playing games with terminology. I've been differentiating between a prospective customer for sales purposes, and a buying customer, but either way they're a customer. There's just a difference in commitments and obligations depending on what type of arrangement it is.

    Lotus Emira Track Experience

Well that's a two-way street; my opinion contradicts yours, but there's no need to apologize for that, that's what happens in a discussion. I know what you and others in here feel about it, and the people at Lotus do too. To say that just because I don't agree with what you want, means I don't...

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

I had my own graphics design business. I always considered everyone a potential customer. If someone wanted me to do a job for them, and gave me 50% to cover materials, with the balance due on delivery, they were a buying customer. If someone simply wanted to see some ideas, they weren't a...

    Lotus Emira Track Experience

Yes they do have those people, but the people at the top, Matt, Carr, Gavin, etc. and whomever is from Geely don't appear to be media oriented people. Clearly, constant communication isn't one of their priorities right now. They know people on this forum want it otherwise, but they're choosing...

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

Who? To my knowledge, none of the deposits were non-refundable. They only became non-refundable when the deposit turned into an order. Unless you sign a contract to buy, you're not legally a customer yet. There's no binding agreement. Consumer protection laws can cover you if there was...

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

I don't think he did. As everyone on the forum was so rabid for any information, it got picked up and went viral throughout the community immediately. That's the way things work on the internet nowadays.

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

Placing a refundable deposit indicates you're a potential customer with a strong interest to possibly buy. As a salesperson, you would see that person as a strong prospect, but they don't become a full-fledged customer until an actual order is placed with a down payment commitment that's...

U.S. Update: Allocation & Order Date

ROFL now Tom, you know if anyone can give an in-depth answer it's me. I chose that answer for the sake of expediency. You are an obsessive compulsive personality type, and can be a pain in the butt to interact with sometimes (I'm sure you and some others would say the same about me), so in...

    Lotus Emira Track Experience

I think it's somewhat of a distraction due to the unexpected tsunami of success of the Emira. It's pulling a lot of resources at a time when they were probably expecting to be going gung ho on the electric side of things. It's a good problem to have, but with the clock running out on the ICE...
