Not my Lotus, but I switched to the Hawk HPS 5.0 pads on my GTI and really like them. Great bite, good enough for HPDE track days, and much lower dust than OEM pads. I just checked and they have them for the Evora GTs, so they should also be available for the Emira.

Engine is stock. Fueling, supercharger, and tune are the only tweaks done by Lotus (intake and exhaust as well obviously).

Yeah, I mean the Civic Type R did it in 7:44 and and 718 GT4 in 7:28. Exige Cup cars are usually around 7:45 and I think the Evora 400 was just barely under the 8 minute mark.

It's from the cars sitting out in the elements for months (usually at the port awaiting delivery). Quite a few early cars had fractured pads which resulted in noticeably uneven wear on the rotors. It's been well documented here.

I think everyone is banking on this (being able to tune the i4 for big power). That's the draw for the i4. Some will be willing to sacrifice a pedal and justify paying $80-100k for a 4 cylinder Emira because there's big potential. That being said, I do think heat management will be an issue...
