More cars are listed because a large shipment just arrived a week or so ago. A listed car is not an available car, and I would bet most of what you’re seeing as “new” have already been claimed.

Sounds like you’re ready to move on. Anecdotally I can share that my M2 was one of my least favorite cars I’ve owned. The 2 series platform is just cheap, and mine rattled like a tin can to the point where I had to sell it in less than a year. Fast though! Good luck with whatever you decide next.

No issues for mine anymore. Now sits on a battery tender when not in use, and a long hold of the start button to "boot up" the car before the clutch is depressed. Not sure if one/both of these things actually matter, but I'm not going to stop doing it because it seems to be an easy solution...

The Hole under the forward most part of the door is there, just like the 1.0 version, you just cant tell from the picture I shared. Unless you're talking about a different hole?

I thought about that too. But if the new doors are the same as the old ones (we have recent build dates with bubbling), replacing the doors within warranty means the new ones will also bubble post-warranty. Seems like there’s really no escaping it unless you try and mitigate it yourself.

I don’t think the trunk lid is the same supplier as the doors, and therefore would not be related to this (but clearly a paint defect).

Unfortunately, there is no generally accepted view, or even confirmation that a design change was made to new panels. There is, however, lots of speculation/unofficial commentary. If Lotus were to admit a problem, then a recall would be likely on thousands of cars, which, they're not real...

That's funny, because I thought the opposite might be true. I leave mine unlocked in the garage under the assumption the alarm was causing some battery drain. I do keep the key pretty far away so it doesn't wake up the car though. Meanwhile, my 10 year old Mazda will sit outside in all kinds...

TLDR = it was rough to be in the first batch, but you’re happy with the performance increase and responsiveness from JUBU. You feel the next round of buyers won’t suffer from the same issues. How’d I do?

The URL posted above is the UK version (en-GB in the URL is English-Great Britain). They get 5 years of paint coverage. The US warranty book - can be downloaded HERE and clearly states 3 years/ 36k miles for paint defects. Sucks, but hopefully that puts this debate to rest.

3 year paint warranty in the US and 5 in the UK is my understanding.

Has anyone with an older build date confirmed the primer inside the drain hole has a different look than the pic above? I thought I remembered someone saying the white primer was the “newer” version too. So much speculation…hard to know what’s true.

This would fall one step below that (also terrible) idea. 😂
