That’s wise and many will be in the same position. I’m financing it with alternatives, so lower Apr is still possible. But if that’s the case, there’s a tempting selection of low mileage cosseted performance cars at a much lower point in the deprivation curve.

might do as well as the Emira. I’m not in a market for a Hot Hatch, if I was it would be either the Civic R or GR Yaris. Both cracking cars. The Emira is likely to be my last ICE purchase.

IF only the Emira had the latest Civic R engine and manual transmission..... it will be the perfect car from me.

I was going for touring, but looking at how rapid the car might be off the line, Sports suspension might be more suited to the i4..... hmmm. It will be my weekend car..... Will need to test drive both suspension.

Hand built with robot manufacturing line and some robotic chassis gluing. Lotus (Norfolk) is still a boutique outfit. I suspect the EVs will be better built once they iron out production issues with the Emira - their beta test bed…. I can see Lotus getting the hang of this volume sports car...

If Lotus keeps price promise at time of deposit - given UKs inflation rise since 2021 - original MRSP is a bit of a bargain!! No way I’m changing from FE to BE until I know what price & options costs are on the BE. Original FE price might be the best value after all.

Something tells me that are delaying UK deliveries compared to ROW because of the weak pounds….. why earn £s when you can earn a stronger currency and a bigger profit margin per car - makes business sense to me.

Build Dates are going wild.

I have always wanted a lotus - the Elise S2 was my dream drivers car when I was studying back in Uni - so I guess I don’t mind waiting either.

I emailed asking similar question. I was a 12th July 2021 depositer! Build Date Dec 2023 for i4 - The reply was also posted on another i4 related thread. Moderator note: both posts moved to more recent thread

More i4 news from CS in reply to my email asking about FE spec lock in date for my Dec 2023 slot and Base Spec release date. This timeline is complete news to us on the forum. 😮

Watched it again. I am now convinced it’s an i4!!! Yay. Not bad at all, not bad at all. I can rest easy now till Christmas 2023 😂 i4 for me will be perfect.

Could be a V6 that. No evidence it’s an i4….. hmmm. I only wish that is true noise of i4.
