About cars being on boats, bound for the U.S., and actually being NA FE 1.0 Emiras……..I’ll believe it when U.S. Dealers show pics of the cars at their dealerships. As DertheDer would say, “BIG, IF TRUE”. And when the first one of those cars actually gets released to its owner…….now THAT would...

I just spoke with “young Scott”, who gives factory tours…….they either keep him in the dark, or he’s not talking! I know that there have got to be numerous people at the factory, especially those in charge of production and logistics that could relay some info……but they must have their orders...

When did the factory supposedly “punch out” these 700 cars? No one who has visited the factory (including me) has seen more than one U.S. car being produced on the line.

Well, so 1,300 Emiras are going to be delivered to the U.S. by May/June ‘24, eh? (FE 1.0 - 700, FE 2.0 - 600) At least, that’s what the dealers are saying. Only a handful at most have been seen built in the Factory thus far. CARB still not obtained. EPA only rumored to have been obtained by...

The solid news is, the GM from my dealership heard from some unknown source at Lotus, that EPA certification was received last Friday. Of course, this cannot be verified. But, I DO have first hand knowledge that the non U.S. spec demo car I drove last Saturday was a joy!

Manual gearbox, and daily drivability. If I could only have one…..The 458 Italia. Two personalities: Refined, can drive it like a Honda in quiet and auto mode, or like an F1 car in loud and manual mode. The Huracan is more raw. After a couple of hours, I need out to stretch my back!

Well, just came back from a test drive of a Magma red V-6 manual Emira, with the touring suspension. This is coming from a guy (me) who currently has a Ferrari 458 Italia and a Lamborghini Huracan…… The car has just the right amount of power (400bhp)for what it is! It handles very well. You...

Went to a showing of the two Emira demo cars tonight at Scottsdale McLaren/Lotus. Although they are left-hand drive, I believe these are Euro-spec cars or possibly pre-production cars, not U.S. specs cars. I will be test driving one tomorrow and will give you my thoughts. The dealership had a...

Hope you’re right! They must be pretty confident on certification for that to happen. Also, no one has seen U.S. cars being “punched out” in quantity. Would take 5 or 6 weeks to get all FE 1.0’s out of there.

“Fully loaded” with what? What is the “less expensive” “Base” model not going to have? No A/C? No power steering? No power windows? No radio? I have an FE on order, but I don’t remember any long list of “bells and whistles” to speak of.
